What course are you planning to take? Cambridge A-levels? Edexcel A-levels? AUSMAT? SAM? Foundation in Science? Foundation in Arts? ADP?

Petronas and TNB scholarships need your actual SPM results as far as I know. I don't know where you plan on studying in the future, but Taylor's has a bursary that requires you to register first. INTI has a scholarship open but is closing very soon. Most colleges offer merit awards within 2 weeks of receiving your SPM results.

I'll be taking Cambridge A Levels  in Sunway.
INTI has a scholarship for foundation in business If you've missed scholarship season for Sunway and HELP, they do offer merit awards after SPM so no problems there, really!

Hi, I'm going for Sunway's January intake. Deadline for registration of Sunway is 15th December for scholarship recipients, so I think registering before that would be safe. Taylor's is currently open for registration, and they have an open day on the 19th of October. It would be good to check out the open days of any colleges you are interested in, or just go there when you're free to talk to their course advisers (most colleges have people there to help you make the right decision) and scope out the campus.

Let's just say my school has a very rural-like mentality . Efforts have been made to lift it up these few years , but results are still pretty much the same . Most of our upper-secondary teachers are complacent , my Maths/Add Maths teacher is highly incompetent , you won't even believe me . She can't even solve certain PMR questions .

Most of the students from P.D aim for PD High School , the 'top' one --- mine is considered the worst . Perceptions , you can change them .

Oh and we have one Pure Science class only ( no sub-science ) , it's supposed to be the elite class right ? Almost half of us failed in subjects like English , BM , Maths , Add Maths , Chemistry , and Biology . Also , none of the candidates ( 2012 ) scored an A+ for English last year .

I was pretty much thrown into a sea and had to teach myself to swim or let myself drown , when I was in form one . I chose this school simply because it would be convenient for me to travel back and forth , and also partly because I wanted to prove everyone wrong , that I could excel even in one of the worst schools in P.D ( big ambitions I know , I was 12 )  .

Amidst all these , I don't have any regrets --- I have made great friends who are so honest and pure due to their upbringing ( we don't have any students with rich parents here , at most , middle-income parents )

Oh and is there any websites with good SPM essay samples? I can't seem to find any good ones which are not too short.
