Is it me or does Chemistry Paper 1 take longer to be completed compared to the Paper 1s of Physics and Biology. It seems I'm always doing it until the last minute. Those equations are nasty

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Sep 10 2013, 07:29 PM) Just curious, how do you guys remember the procedure for experiments? Well, what I do is just try to remember or get a general impression of the diagram, and when you understand the concept, you can just bring them all out and "goreng-goreng" the procedures. Especially length experiments like the J-tube one? |

QUOTE(maximR @ Sep 11 2013, 03:07 PM) Physics' procedures are pretty much fixed , simple . Chemistry is quite easy to 'goreng' too ... Biology requires K1 , K2 , K3 , K4 and K5 , so you'll have to 'goreng' intelligently . Ya, I agree Bio is harder to goreng. I didn't studied for Physic experiment that came out at all and managed to goreng that. Same with Chemistry. But oh am I glad I read the Bio experiment today. Won't you get your marks deducted if you didn't draw the diagrams? |

My trials ended today. Add.Math Paper 2 was hard....very hard while Paper 1 was ridiculously easy.

QUOTE(maximR @ Sep 16 2013, 11:49 AM) Seems like I'll be the only one venturing into Science . Actually, I am passionate about Science, I love learning all those theories and stuff ( Physics is my favorite subject). At the same time, I am also passionate about Econs and Finance (even more so than Science in general)... so yeah, it's become a hobby of mine to lurk in RWI and wikipedia. It's disappointing , really , students choose the Science stream not because they are passionate about it , but because they were forced by parents/teachers or considered SPM Arts Stream as inferior to Science . The only reason I'm so motivated to excel in SPM is because of the Science subjects . Also, I took Science because well... the Arts stream in my school....urgh... QUOTE(chun96 @ Sep 16 2013, 01:14 PM) 51 days till SPM! (7+ weeks) I'm just doing exercises... How do you guys study during this period? Study the syllabus again or just do exercise. |

QUOTE(michaelting90 @ Sep 16 2013, 12:33 AM) Matriculation is a form of Pre-U offered by the MoE. It is perceived to be easier than a-level and stpm. Getting a CGPA of 4.0 (which means 4A) is relatively easy and if I am not mistaken, over 2000 matriks students got 4.0 last year. The main advantage of doing matriculation is that you get an easy access to local universities. And also it is cheap, Anyone know how true this is?The problem with matriks is that you would be learning less stuff than people taking alevels and stpm, some may see this as a good thing,I personally believe this reduces the standard and quality of students produced. :/ Also, it is relatively hard for non bumis to get into matriculation, as the original intention of establishing this course was to allow bumis to gain easy access to universities. Just for your info, kolej matrikulasi selangor accepted 2000+ students, of which only 150 are chinese. As far as I know, you would need at least 7A+ and KK marks of around 8.5 to get in. Anyways, you should be focusing on your spm. Worry about your pre-u after that. |

QUOTE(Screen @ Sep 16 2013, 03:46 PM) If you're a non bumi, even if you get 9A+ and super high koko marks won't guarentee you a spot in it (Experience from cousin) I'm chinese. Well, 7A+ should be doable, but 8.5 koko If you're a bumi, Congratulations! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(stpxdf88l @ Sep 16 2013, 03:53 PM) Actually other than being forced, its also cause most of the students don't know what they want to do after spm. For science stream students, we can easily take accounts/econs in college and we also learn it in english which makes it easier to understand. As for arts to study science in college, its basically very very tough to learn everything in college. Haha. I'm not offending the arts students though, I have many many friends there which already know what they want to do, that's why they chose science. Most science students are clueless ^this too. Accounts is in BM in STPM right? |
