I got an offer letter to do some business and IT diploma course in some technological institute in cheras this morning. The title was BIASISWA but in the course info section, the bayaran was 100% PTPTN......
The funny thing was, I didn't even applied for that college. On top of that, my parents income will surely fall into the 'tidak lajak' category.
It came along with an application form....lol. Of course, I will reject it since I already paid for my college in Australia.

I wonder where they got my contact details....I never ever filled up any forms at the education fairs.

Won't the institutions sometimes lie to us? And when we finally enrolled only we find out that ptptn cannot be applied for the programme?
*
If not mistaken, ptptn is available for every lan accredit program. Not sure though, try to check at ptptn website.

*
If not mistaken, now cannot convert into scholarship already

Is there a limit of how much you can borrow if your income exceeds certain level. I read about it somewhere, but couldn't find it now.

Can someone please enlighten me on this. thanks

If not mistaken, it is usually half of the amount.

BTW, do most people under declare their income?
*
Most of my friend did that. You can go to any pejabat tanah, said that you need a verification that your parent are penjaja or something, ask them to give you an official letter stating that your parent income are RMxxxx. Then use the letter to submit to PTPTN.

pejabat tanah? after getting the letter no need salary slip?
*
For my time, yes no need salary slip cuz the letter issue by pejabat tanah show your parent income. This is usually for those low income job which do not need to declare income tax.

Good question, but i dunno how to answer. hehe sorry. But you can try and call PTPTN ask them about that, but their phone line is very hard to get through. Of cause, don't tell them how much your father earn. or perhaps you can said your father already retire. Not sure though

is there anyone studying in mmu that get the ptptn loan... one of my friend studying in mmu said it's not difficult and the forumer in mmu thread also said the same thing... i'm just scared if i really enter mmu then can't get the loan, how am i going to pay for the fees? the ptptn loan include living cost or not?

It is 16k per year if not mistaken. And I think 95 out of 100 applicant can get the loan.
