hey there !
as i saw a lot of people seeking for reasonable replies on their enquries, i would like to ask some too..

i`d finished my foundation in UCSI, and is ready to start my first year first sem at UCSI...
so my question is, is it still late to apply for that loan ?
lectures will be starting in next week...
because i saw some forumers state that it needs about 1 or 2 weeks working days to complete the loan...

haha... hi frozen7...
i guess no one is here from ptptn ...
so we cant guarantee you when will you get the money after submitting the form...
now, bear it in mind, submitting the form doesnt assure you to get the loan ...
there are more things to do after submitting the forms...

but one thing i know for sure is that, if you are applying the ptptn now, it will counts for your next sem, which is normally May-August semester...
but for the current sem, you need to pay ur own..

Not generally true.
It takes them from at least 1-2 weeks to months depending on their working efficiency rate before the money bank in to you(if approved and agreed by you to accept it). Money will be distribute to your college/uni account and your account (please check and count the amount each time they bank in) which was done  2 to 3 times annually to the  account. You might get it on the same semester itself but might be quite late.

thanks for correcting me, i agree on what you reply, especially the last sentence...haha...sorry for giving false info without futher research.. shakehead.gif

anyway, ptptn requires us to get our SPM CERT...
what cert ? i know the transcript we got from our school during march(where we got to know our results) isnt a cert...

How can one settle a PTPTN study loan?
Study loans can be repaid through monthly payments for 10 to 20 years. Repayments must be made six months after the completion of study programs or after securing a job, whichever is the earliest. Repayments can be made through Internal Revenue Board appointed by the Government as the collection agent on behalf of PTPTN. Repayments can also be made through other methods with the consent of PTPTN. PTPTN is willing to accept full repayments or in any amounts provided that it is not less than the amount agreed upon in the Agreement Letter. Repayments of study loans include the net loan amount and 4% administrative costs per year based on the remaining balance each month.

:Source no.09

4% of admin costs ?!? i thought its only 3% ? hmm.gif hmm.gif
or that source isnt the most updated ones ?

During May session, A put rm800, B put rm3000...
A got rm40k and B got rm55k !!

One of my friends, his PTPTN account got hacked by someone and the loan is canceled by the hacker. Can the loan be canceled so easily? That's what he told me, I don't know the details.  sweat.gif

I guess he is just making fun of it...
Things which has something to do with money, the security is tight...
That easy to decrypt PTPTN`s security ? hmm.gif
Must be your friend talk big nod.gif

QUOTE(yanniieee @ Nov 5 2008, 07:42 PM)
hey,there is a ques..
the ptptn will bank in the money to the account and we pay the college by ownself and not they straight away bank in for the college?
*
Guess what, if the government can do so many things that EFFICIENTLY, residents dont have to worry so many things...
They wont be so hardworking, wah, check what subject you take, how many total money you are going to pay, then do this and that...There are A LOT of existing applicants....

What they do is, i guess this is the part you want the most thumbup.gif
they will bank in the money to your BANK account...then you can either direct bank in the money from the bank account to your college account...
Of course, there are many ways, direct bank in, cheque, bank draft.. and so on..

QUOTE(LoveMeNot @ Nov 6 2008, 01:08 AM)
what is the sspn account for actually? Im just too lazy to go and read about it.

Treat is as a pre-requisite nod.gif nod.gif laugh.gif
