reading some article from marhalim abas regarding the project

they concerned of some difficulties in using current 3D radar as it have many, many mode where to change form one mode to a another was kinda problematic especially in quick response crisis..is most 3D radar like this?

& regarding choosing NSM for new LCS project, they said TLDM didn't want any stuff from MBDA anymore..they actually will consider anything as long as not MBDA, but they didn't tell why...any story u know about this?

dunno..but operating NSM will be a new thing for TLDM

one commmentator in marhalim abas blog said MBDA got some 'attitude' issue, french punya perangai..thats why TLDM don't want MBDA anymore

no..im not saying 3D radar is slow response..what i mean is the operator having problem to switch from one option mode to another & that affected time to response

i guess u're right..having a lot of multiple options under one single platform might give them a headache to get used to the system

don't forget SPH support from far back & IFV full of infantries following behind MBTs

China is really great at reverse engineering..give them 1 asset, & wait for them to create a copy within short period of time

for a time being there's no efficiently light armour protection for MBT..all the superb armour protection material for current technology are obviously, HEAVY..& that affect the performance of most MBTs, limiting their role, making some people thought MBT are a burden & outdated

Type-10 might give a glance of future MBT development that is protected with superbly reliable lightweight armour..it is heavily armoured but only weighted at 48 tonnes max (at least on paper it says so), much lighter than abrams or leopard 2
