I believe those heavy MBT will be more toward urban warfare.

QUOTE(noavatar @ Apr 26 2013, 01:09 AM) Than we are talking about the urban tank variant...abrams TUSK...leopald 2 PSO...urban tank needs reinforcement from hit to top, sides and rear....shovel to clear debris and barricades. in jungle it kind of hard to operates. waiting to be kill and easy to detect.Because the tank's mobility is greatly restricted on jungle terrain, its role is different in the jungle than that on more open terrain. Instead of rapid envelopments and deep penetrations, tanks primarily provide fire support for infantry in jungle fighting. Tank in overwatch position supporting infantry my opinion...what u think plantation still possible but wont be easy to operates. if operating on village and city still possible to pull full potential out. QUOTE(noavatar @ Apr 26 2013, 01:23 AM) I am thinking like it can act like a super heavy duty snipe of some sort...with advanced optics ... n high velocity guns...they can pinpoint objectives better than say howitzers...just position them in strategic position their excessive movement in jungle will expose themselves easily. might even expose were their front line is.give enemy an idea how to counter it easily. I would just bombard the whole areas with mortar or artillery. modern ATGM like kornet-e or TOW is so deadly. jungle is a good place to hide those ATGM teams. were the MBT were optic were greatly restricted by tree. |

QUOTE(kerolzarmyfanboy @ Apr 26 2013, 02:43 PM) what i'm worried about the Pendekar is whether it have a blast-proof ammuniton storage in it..as u all know T-72 is a death trap if hit by a shell..explode and burns like a furnace..many T-72 in Syria got blown off by rpg..even its turret got blown 25m away..Abrams, challenger and leopards have blast-proof munition shelf..for outer protection, T-90 have Kontakt-5 ERA..the best of its kind i think..if can put it on the PT-91M..the crew have better protection.. The problem is still inherent to all T-72 design hull. |

QUOTE(atreyuangel @ Apr 26 2013, 06:53 PM) can see how thick is the side armor just comparing the tyre.our armor already cover the whole tyre. the PARS still exposing some portion of the tyre. btw PARS and AV8 using V-hull? the core systems is quite impressive too.
