yes, why would the shopkeeper not know of asian launch just playing the dumb card to get rid of JP unit. yes malaysia is supposed to be pal, but because MS followed in Sony's footsteps when choosing region therefore we are in ntsc region

so.. msia version = asion version = PAL or NTSC?

is xbos360 worth the price now?

Right now there's no Msian version, the shops are still stocked with Japanese units region coded NTSC/J. But the power adapters use 110V so you'll need a stepdown to run it. After the Singapore launch next week you should see signapore units which are also region coded NTSC/J but power supply is 240V one so can plug into the socket directly.

the good thing with stepdown is when u get lightning strike... 60% is hit stepdown 40% safe by hitting ur 360

Same thing if you put a surge protector lor, don't forget if the stepdown malfunctions chance of the 360 frying is quite high if the current manages to surge through the ACDC brick!

so can we use the pc voltage regulator/surge protector before the C4 stepdown transformer?

im more worried bout the ethernet port, pc got fried before by lightning from the phone line, thru the dsl modem, thru the switch then to the pc
