Just sent my car for first 1000KM service today at Section 13 Proton Edar. The things they offered me are:
1. Use Semi-Synthetic Engine Oil (I asked if can use Fully but the person said Semi is good enough and that fully they only have 4 liters while semi they have 5ls and he said that need to buy 2 4ls which is gonna cost alot) I complied to use Semi-Synthetic. Hope this doesn't affect my car's performance, we'll see.
2. He "automatically" tick Magnetrap for me, never even asked if i wanted it or not. LOL. I asked why he said it helps clear the engine bla bla bla...trap oil la...and all the shit... So i was thinking if i use semi-synthetic oil, I can give magnetrap a try to keep my oil slightly cleaner. it's RM68 right there...
3. Then there's that normal oil filter, oil gasket change
4. I asked if they can enable the auto lock/unlock when i turn off the engine, he said no such thing! (sure bo??) I hinted that it's the ECU, he said ECU is something different.
5. But he was receptive to my other requests such as checking steering alignment, center console sound and glovebox rattling sound.
What are your expert thoughts on this? Should i have asked for fully synthetic oil and not select Magnetrap?

1. can take 4L 1st then buy 1L outside
2. no need
3. is it black (mitsu) filter or blue (campro) filter
4. some of them dont even know inspira use cvt
5. no comment
