In theory is true. The longer the cable the higher the resistance. But need some detail calculation as the decrease in current could be negligible.

Is your other cable meant for 2amp charging. It must be of same material and thickness to be comparable if you want to evaluate if the length is of any effect on the charging rate. Too many variable means inconclusive results.
