QUOTE(andrewtho @ Dec 9 2012, 01:37 AM) One question. Why does my charger sometimes read as USB when connected via AC Adapter? Was curious why my charge time took so long, checked the battery status and it stated USB Reconnected and it's back to AC. Did you charge or connect with your PC before that..? Next time need to check first at your battery status to see either USB or AC....lolz

QUOTE(andrewtho @ Dec 9 2012, 01:57 AM) Nope. Only charge via AC Adapter. Mafan la like that, every time also need to check Cannot just plug in and leave it for a peace of mind. Check whether USB or AC takes 5 seconds only. If not check and it's on USB then you'll lost extra 2 hours for nothing

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Dec 9 2012, 05:47 PM) Just try out the defender one...my phone becomes not very sensitive after attached. So I did not buy in the end. Your phone using SP..? Coz Defender already got SP attached so you're using two SP. Still wont be a problem..i did try mine (2 SP) and everything works just fine. Added on December 9, 2012, 6:09 pmQUOTE(joytest @ Dec 9 2012, 06:06 PM) How is s-pen usage sensitivity with the built in SP ? Works just fine though i believe in long term it will be full of micro scratches...lolz This post has been edited by waveweaver: Dec 9 2012, 06:09 PM

A brief conclusion on Otterbox for Note2. Defender Series Good : comes with double layer in three pieces. Very good all round protection. Suitable for outdoor type person and for those who working in dusty environment such as in construction site. It pre-attached SP prevent dust and water splash from the phone.
Inner layer are hard shell though it have soft rubber at the bottom acting as a cushion to prevent scratches on the phone back cover.
Outer layer are soft rubber/silicone that totally covered the inner layer (except the screen area). This casing comes with a swizel belt clip. Bad : Bulky..heavy and quite difficult to disassemble.
Commuter Series Good : comes with double layer in two pieces. Good all round protection. No pre-attached SP though it did comes with a free SP. Suitable for everybody who doesn't mind a bit bulky and heavy phone.
Inner layer are soft rubber/silicone that cover the phone except it screen area. Also got dust plugs for headphones jack and charging port..same as the Defender.
Outer layer are hard shell though not fully covered the inner layer. Sort of likes bumper or skeleton shell that hold firm the soft inner layer. Bad : This casing got lips that grip the screen edge so it might spoilt any full covered SP.

QUOTE(Cynox @ Dec 9 2012, 09:09 PM) actually if you do not like the attached SP of the Defender, can just remove it. But if tear the pre-applied SP..it will leave micro gap between the screen and casing. Dust and water splash might seep in.

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 10 2012, 01:06 AM) I suspect so but getting the power button and volume button into the hole itself is a challenge . Removing it is worst . Using it on SGS3 . I heard Otter for Note2 use better rubber quality than S3 and Note1. Don't know whether true or not. The Commuter hard case also been re-design.

QUOTE(AlphaBeta @ Dec 10 2012, 01:29 AM) Otterbox makes the phone bulky. Note2 enough bulky alrdy.. Prefer slim and most importantly, protects all sides coz i have bad experience with scratches on the sides on samsung phones. Note2 already bulky even without using any casing (naked). If you really want to use casing then better use something that gives total protection. Otherwise leave it naked...lolz

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 10 2012, 01:37 AM) Seems the rubber shrinking problem is only happening on SGS3 Defender on their color series . Black dont seem 2 be having it . Hope they fix it cuz OB is really a good case and durable . I never tried Otter on my S3. I'm using SGP Neo Hybrid and leather flipcase Gariz. From what I saw at youtube..S3 have problem with Commuter. Difficult to take the casing out due to hard shell holes over the power and volume button. That's why for Note2 it been re-design where the hard shell not covered the power and volume button anymore. So it's much easier to put in and take out. QUOTE(cucumber @ Dec 11 2012, 07:08 PM) for those who are using otterbox's commuter case, do you find it too bulky? does it fit nicely in jeans? and what about the buttons, easy to press? does anyone know any alternative cases that have dual layer protection like the commuter casing? Both Otter Defender and Commuter wont fit into your jeans pocket. Front pocket for slacks...yes can fit..lolz I think any good double layered casing wont fit into jeans .
