QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Dec 8 2012, 12:04 AM) Seidio Active Case The additional slot is to protect the screen. I don't know about your experience, but if you have the screen exposed to the credit cards when the casing is folded, it will leave an impression on your screen.Added on December 8, 2012, 12:06 am OMG , beside the color , its exactly like SGP Valentinus except an additional slot in the middle The LKUN design doubles your carrying capacity and gives proper screen protection. In fact I think the case itself can be slowly removed and have another slim, all round case glued/velcro'd on. Me and my velcro.... |

An observation.
The thread is moving at half the speed. Up to v10, it was 1 thread every 6-7 days. Now is the 6th day of v11 and we are at less than half the posts. Sudden drop in velocity. |

Since we're on the topic of the fruit company,
http://apple.slashdot.org/story/12/12/07/2...utm_medium=feed "Apple's most famous multitouch software patents are increasingly coming under invalidation pressure. First the rubber-banding patent and now a patent that Apple's own lawyers planned to introduce to a Chicago jury as 'the Jobs patent.' U.S. Patent No. 7,479,949 covers a method for distinguishing vertical and horizontal gestures from diagonal movements based on an initial angle of movement. For example, everything up to a slant of 27 degrees would be considered vertical or horizontal, and everything else diagonal. The patent office now seems to think that Apple didn't invent the concept of 'heuristics' after all." More in the comments. Added on December 8, 2012, 4:19 pm http://www.newint.org/features/web-exclusi...lman-interview/ Richard Stallman: ‘Apple has tightest digital handcuffs in history’ One of the greatest hackers of all time, Richard Stallman is something of a roving prophet for the free software movement. He invented the first ‘copyleft license’ that made the results of his mammoth feats of computer programming free to use, share and change - without falling foul of copyright. Stallman now travels the world making the argument that software should be treated as public knowledge and warning of threats to civil liberties in an increasingly digitized world. ....... Those companies are very powerful. They are cleverly finding new ways to take control over users. Nowadays people who use proprietary software [programs whose source code is hidden, and which are licensed under exclusive legal right of the copyright holder] are almost certainly using malware. The most widely used non-free programmes have malicious features – and I’m talking about specific, known malicious features. ...... Digital handcuffs are the most common malicious features. They restrict what you can do with the data in your own computer. Apple certainly has the digital handcuffs that are the tightest in history. The i-things, well, people found two spy features and Apple says it removed them and there might be more When people don’t know about this issue they choose based on immediate convenience and nothing else. And therefore they can be herded into giving up their freedom by a combination of convenient features, pressure from institutions and the network effect. The rest of the article is a bit philosophical but he's generally right. None of us in the modern world are truly free in his sense, but at least with Android there is far more freedom and choice. Can you change the keyboard on your iThing? This post has been edited by joytest: Dec 8 2012, 04:19 PM |

QUOTE(ramen241 @ Dec 8 2012, 08:26 PM) A silly question...I have 3g doggle huawei..can I mount it to otg? Tried but nothing happens..any additional software required? You already have 3g in the device, why would you want to do this?Anyway, 3g dongles usually have some kind of partition with an autorun.inf file to install the driver in WINDOZE, so it may not work in Android. |

QUOTE(kevintth @ Dec 9 2012, 07:17 PM) Guys... .Note 2 competitor is on the way lolx... It is huawei (flower tail in chinese lol) 6.1' screen (OMG is superb big) with 1080p display, 1.8GHz Huawei’s homegrown quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4000 mAh battery and run on 4.1 jelly bean and cheaper price than note 2 http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_vp_confirms...s-news-5175.php QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Dec 9 2012, 07:50 PM) competition of spec anyone can do but competition for overall experience not just anybody. I got the note 2 because of the features and support it have not just big screen. QUOTE(kevintth @ Dec 9 2012, 08:28 PM) Ya... beside the brand name Hua Wei... is china product ... so dunno reliable or not since it is cheaper... customer service have to ask those who own huawei product before lolx.. Well, I do have a Huawei Mediapad. 7" Qualcomm S3 with Adreno 225, 1280x800. Pretty good machine overall. Only thing is Huawei is not very focused on software, since their history is more of selling hardware. And they suck at marketing.btw... maxis usb broadband and modem are huawei brand lor ... As per Aspire, the specs are good, but there are some reviews that the Huawei homebrew CPU is not very smooth. This may be the same K3V2 in the Mediapad 10 FHD which has a 10" 1920x1200 screen and 2Gb RAM. Hopefully its a "V3" with improved performance. However if Huawei is not forthcoming with their kernel sources, then this device will not have much dev support. Having said all that, I would like to say sometimes 1 person makes a difference. The 7" Mediapad has got almost full CM10 and PA support from 1 single dude in Russia, and I donated a couple of beers for his hard work. Lastly, Huawei is among the largest telco suppliers in the world right now, and much of our celco infra runs on their hardware. Believe me I know. |

QUOTE(icecolddamncold @ Dec 10 2012, 04:12 PM) You actually need the Samsugn USB drivers. Try looking JUST for the driver instead of the full Kies package. Kies contains the driver and install it, but Kies itself is crap. Then depending on your windows version, you might need to update Microsoft Media Player. |

QUOTE(kongkkm @ Dec 10 2012, 04:30 PM) You can use the cable for the S2. I find the design for the S2 cable is more robust than the current Note1/S3/Note2 design. The current design just copies the stupid crapple one that always breaks at the point where you pull the cable due to stress. This is a BAD BAD design decision by Samsung to copy the fruit company. |

Hmm.. seems like Celcom has removed the block for Play Store that was there before. Previously, from 8pm to 3am, Play Store downloading was blocked, only allowed browsing.
Just now I tried downloading stuff from Play Store, it works!! Any other Celcom subscriber try this? |
