QUOTE(victor2212 @ Jul 25 2013, 07:28 AM) are u able to install os on msata? and use as primary drive while secondary is harddisk? btw able to get re15 in black? I can only answer you on the OS on mSATA. You need to specifically mention to them to install it on the mSATA, as they will always choose the fastest drive. And ask them when installing the OS to unplugged all the other drives except the mSATA. This is to prevent windows from installing the OS on the mSATA while the boot files are in another drive.

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Sep 28 2013, 12:08 PM) Illegear provide way better after-sales service, able to support hardware upgrade (GTX770M to GTX780M) and even accepting trade in for pre-existing Illegear customer for newer Illegear. Provide trade-in? this is the 1st time I heard about this

Finally!
I got my RX-17 to run with 2 SSD.
To those that have problems with their SSD, try to update Intel RST to the newest version. I did it for mine and now it works fine.

QUOTE(Josh0027 @ Oct 22 2013, 04:05 PM) It depends on how it is configured. Two SSDs in RAID0 configuration is faster than One SSD in Cache Mode. The reason that I didn't do it in RAID is because of the problem that I had just resolved. Do I want to use RAID? There are pros and cons to using it. Main cons, for me, in using RAID is the data could be lost easily if one of the SSD in the array failed. Maybe when the 1TB SSD become more reasonable then I will use RAID.

QUOTE(Josh0027 @ Oct 22 2013, 06:18 PM) True, that is one drawback of RAID0. If you were working with large amounts of data then you could see some benefits of RAID0, but nowadays SSDs are so fast that you might not notice the difference of SSDs in RAID0 and normal SSDs. I remember on one of my work platforms, I configured a RAID0 with six HDDs. A single HDD is roughly 40Mb/s in sequential read but on RAID0 with six HDDs it went up to 430MB/s in sequential read. Stick with normal SSDs for now. Well maybe next year prices will continually drop. Look at the M500 which is about RM2000+/- for the 960GB and now Samsung has the 840 Evo out and might compete for pricing against the M500. Nice things to look forward to. True on the price. And heard also that Samsung has just invented 3D NAND. Technology is moving so fast nowadays. Though, if there is 512GB mSATA, that could be a viable upgrade right now.

Then go for the RS-15/RE15.
That should be enough for you as you want it light. Believe me, the 17 inch weighs a tonne! (Got scold by AirAsia personnel cause my backpack is heavy)

Well, if i tried to configure my system on the Aftershock website, after conversion, it is a bit less than that what the Price Illegear is selling.
Though, they don't have nearly all the customisation that Illegear has.
And the Titan is not the same as the RX-17 it seems. No fingerprint reader.

QUOTE(lokman84 @ Jan 8 2014, 02:57 AM) Hi prince, I'm facing blue screen issue just few hours ago, and my pc unable to boot into bios until I remove 1 of ram.. it seems 1 ram slot is the main issue..after I just refresh install my laptop and try to use the ram slot it still unable to boot into bios it show black screen only..for the time being I'm capable to use the laptop with 1 ram slot only.. The laptop only 3 month old..do you have any solution regarding this issue. Did you tried to use the other RAM inside the defect slot? Could be the RAM and not the slot thats the problem. Just try again. If you are sure that the slot is the problem, the only way is to send it back to them to claim warranty or do repair.
