I think my Alienware is very good already, curious how excellent is RE-15 keyboard

Also regarding the sound emitted during full load, how is it compare to Alienware? Alienware can be pretty loud, which is kinda embarrassing to gaming in public

Hehe.. well, that's what I think it is. I've sold off my m17x, so can't really do a side by side comparison. I might be wrong, but what I'm sure of is the RE-15 keyboard is really great.. But I still miss the sound quality produce by alienware.. This onkyo speakers sound is really mehh...

As expected, the Alienware does produce louder sound during heavy load. Perhaps that is mainly due to the dual fan running simultaneously as opposed to only one fan on my RE-15.
What I found weird about this RE-15 is, sometimes during idle mode, the fan suddenly start kicking in and emitted very loud noise for about 15~20 seconds then it slows down.

Overall temperature is pretty decent for this laptop under heavy load. But I have yet got the opportunity to monitor the temperature periodically.

My mission now is to make Illegear into bigger community...
Who knows we can have our own group like those AW Mothership, or ROG community, like IllegeaRepublic blablabla...

erszebeth how is the temperature when its idle for a while?

That is a very big claim haha, will have to test it out for myself
To be honest the AW keyboards are not really top on my list to start with
So far the keyboards that I liked the most are from the ThinkPad lines and of course, Macs

Too bad no display units yet

Did you install Sound Blaster Cinema driver? The DVD Sound Blaster Cinema isn't compatible with Windows 7 and I pm you the Win 7 Sound Blaster Cinema driver address.

There is HUGE improvement in sound quality after installing that driver.

Just an update. Windows 7 options will be phased out soon, all ILLEGEAR notebooks are coming with Windwos 8 drivers DVD from now on.

Linux mint it is then.

I been thinking this idea since the moment erszebeth mention most of his potential customer don't even know what ILLEGEAR is.

Will proceed this and post any development soon after discussion with big boss!
