Oh. One question though. Is the game eligible for the free Pokemon XY? Can I get it even if my device is not new? (but registered within the promotion period)

We know that the promotion is only for new console and game registration(as it needs the Nintendo Club code). If you bought a used console, it might have been registered previously, hence you will not qualify for the free Pokemon X/Y from Nintendo US.
