Hi all. I've been in the ocean for a new Tag Heuer Formula 1 Grande Date and have been doing my homework on it. Recently, I've learnt about gray market watches which are sold by non-authorised dealers and the prices they offer are just incomparable. I mean I've walked into to authorised retailers like Watchshoppe, Watatime and TAG boutique itself but none of them could ever top the price that are sold via gray market. We're talking about over RM1000 worth of savings.

I've also heard from some dealers that TAG wouldn't lay a finger on a grey market watch, had they found out it was one. So I'm not sure how to get it serviced if anything goes wrong. So my question is has anyone ever owned a gray market watch? (Any other brands besides TAG like Omega too) And has anyone encountered any problems overall?

Here's an idea of how cheap gray market watches are compared to retail.
