True but most of the time if your phone spoiled from falling, it's because the screen or the back fall on the floor.
The sides will get bruises but won't make the phone broken directly.
So the front and back are still the most important parts to protect.

Hi.Droid DNA is not network locked.It can be used on GSM Networks.Because of ther LTE radio Verizon could not lock it to their network.
If you do get your someone to buy it let them go a couple of days before and try diff Verizon stores. some will supply overr the counter but some shops will want you to sign an contract ( impossible because of you not a US citizen ).
My friend also tried to get one but he left it till the day he left and could not get one.
