I guess the price should be around what we see on europe country.. or any opinion of the price will be when launch in malaysia?

If the price really same like europe country.. should i just order from google in US play store and wait for 6-7 weeks to deliver? since should be able to save around rm500+-... i don't mind getting it late but worth the money i pay for it is the matter.. plus warranty still can be claim neighbour country..

Hi all, I get a quotation from a well know US courier company for shipping the Nexus 4 to Malaysia:

(A) Cost of products = USD349 (Nexus 4 16GB)

(B) Shipping cost + Fuel surcharge + Insurance = USD28.78

© Customs fees - Paid to delivery agent upon receipt of package Sales Tax (10% of A + B) = USD37.78

(D) Import Duties - Paid to delivery agent upon receipt of package (10% of A + B + C) = USD41.56

Final cost (A + B + C + D) = USD457.12 direct convert around MYR1390.00

Some more haven't include MYR100.00 for SIRIM. Then total I will be spend MYR1490.00 for Nexus 4 16GB.

And I get informed that I have to pay Malaysia's sales and import taxes of 10% each where I guess should be the © and (D).

Why other's get their Nexus 4 just around RM1200+- included SIRIM (if I not mistaken I saw their post on V1). Did I overpaid or get over charged?

Need some advice here icon_question.gif

You are buying from a state that imposed taxes . Your c n d is not necessary. There is no tax n duties for mobile phone in Msia
Only Sirim rm100 up to 3 phones

My C and D is not necessary means I can request the company to skip that payment? Thanks Benny for your kind reply thumbup.gif

iPhone 5 or Nexus 4  sweat.gif

narrowing down devices is such a painful task
*
For me, iPhone 5 was attracting me is because their brand name, reputation, steady value and more apps compare to android, but now days, google play apps is slowly catching up..

I choose Nexus 4 is because the real google experience, I use a lot of google service, e.g. google maps, gmail, google drive, google+ and etc.. I think Nexus 4 can give me a better experience..

If I not mistaken, Apple is trying to be independent from google, if I not mistaken again, iOS 6 that running on iPhone 5 doesn't have Google Map.. I dont think they do it right..

USB OTG not only an option for external storage but also has a lot of benefit for you e.g: save you time from just copy and paste from external storage , anywhere with an external storage you can just plug and play the file/music/video you want to , option for transfer from computer, without the need to be connected to a PC.
*
So we can't tranfer any file from computer, e.g. mp3, video or picture to nexus 4? shocking.gif

Actually what's the difference between USB OTG and USB cable?

N4 launch in HK is priced at RM1750 already..I doubt LG Malaysia will launch for below RM1500.
*
If telco will bundle this phone and the price less than that I don't mind tie up with 2 years contract laugh.gif

Hopshopgo is a jv company between comgateway and PayPal and offered to PayPal customers.. I chose hopshopgo due to this extra layer of protection from PayPal which otherwise they r similar as fulfillment is done by comgateway
*
So does comGateway will accept PayPal payment?

It was disabled by google since N4 cannot supply 5v, so we need some dev to enable it.
This usb hub should work provided it supplies 5v.
LG Sg once said they accept but the comment was removed and now they said they're working on it

ya moreover there is not much different between ICS or JB (except project butter)
android is so powerful, everything can solve with 3rd party software(themes+launcher)
software update is not really a prob too, i read AOSP is much better... i never try it la

but over the years, android devices price drop like no tomoro... like every 6months
and this LG N4, if buy from US is really price proof since price already low
but if buy from Msia... really hv to thing twice
disclaimer: out of all android devices... i think Note1 price is still high
*
Indeed..
Just wait LG Msia to announce the price, if more than RM1700 then no need to think already straight away get from US.
Or maybe wait and see any telco bundle it, then price might same or lower compare getting it from US and this is the best. I don't mind tie up with contract for lower price plus local warranty. tongue.gif

it doesnt matter, 99.999% of user will put on cover
when i on street, i never see anyone using new phone with rambo style (naked)
oops.gif mayb after a year or two la

we even put on screen protector for corning gorilla glass  doh.gif
*
Without cover to protect.. the glass might easily cracked.. but if covered up N4 backside really wasted the bling bling shining design.. biggrin.gif
IMO, N4 should deserve the best design smartphone of the year tongue.gif
