It turns out its Qualcomm bug for the battery drainage issue. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41855I must say that the battery drainage problem is worst in Nexus 4 than my Galaxy Nexus. On Galaxy Nexus, i believe it is due to the update 4.2 messing with the battery life. On the Nexus 4, it is 4.2 combine with Qualcomm bug.

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jan 2 2013, 01:11 PM) Franko have included these 3 patches in his kernel. Those are using his kernel reporting better battery life in standby mode.Usage time still so-so. Bigger issue is still the Google services.Eating battery like pacman Apparently Google will release a patch this month. So prepare for Android 4.2.2 to land this month. Yeah. The biggest contribute is the Google Services and other dependencies on it. Im not into rooting and custom rom. Will wait for Google official update. Hopefully they sort this thing out.
