To those who are still doubtful on wireless charging or whether it works or not, visit your local Samsung Stores. Their devices are hooked up with induction chargers.

QUOTE(kuntakinte @ Dec 27 2012, 09:20 PM) Someone selling a qi compatible charger - should also work with n4? Wouldn't it nice if the pad draws power through a micro-USB source, then I can use my USB cable with running LED lights. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2586813 |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Dec 28 2012, 03:22 PM) But JellyBean is announced during Google I/O, together with Nexus 7. Maybe we can see another device with 5.0 I guess Android 5.0 is inevitable.Just a wild guess. But it's still 5 months ahead. Such long wait. Added on December 28, 2012, 6:38 pm QUOTE(deodorant @ Dec 28 2012, 03:28 PM) Erm, I think so. Under settings, hotmail falls under "Corporate" and my two gmail accounts fall under "Email." You can setup your gmail under stock email app. Just need to know the right setting to configure. Also I wonder why the stock email app doesn't have support for push on gmail ... Added on December 28, 2012, 6:40 pm QUOTE(stormlcc @ Dec 28 2012, 03:41 PM) they'll use back N4 lah, won't launch a new nexus phone so quickly. they will probably launch the new Motorola Nexus (known as X phone) in 2014's I/O Next Nexus phone in line would be due somewhere in Oct/Nov 2013, if following Google's trend in introducing Nexus line of phone devices.Added on December 28, 2012, 6:44 pm QUOTE(DjK @ Dec 28 2012, 06:26 PM) i think we are all hyped up by the availability of the phone then to seriously discuss the tech behind the phone and what the N4 is all about..*drumroll*..its a developer phone, or at least it is a normal user friendlier for someone to tweak around the phone. Before you ask that, please may I ask you to provide shops that has Mastercard Paypass terminal, that are actually in working condition?my question to those who has their respective N4: 1. have you guys rooted it? 2. has anyone tried google wallet on it to purchase stuff in shops with nfc support? thx~ Even GSC's ones are for display only. QUOTE(stormlcc @ Dec 28 2012, 06:44 PM) then lets hope they have enough time to splice up the next Nexus phone, hopefully it's the Moto's X phone. Moto makes great devices, only problem with them over the years is that they locked their bootloaders too tight. they r also the 2nd fastest manufacturer to provide latest updates on their devices after the Nexus line. My friend's Xoom got his JB 1 month after it was announced, that's what i call timely updates. Mind you, Xoom was Google's first tablet which doesn't bear the Nexus name. |

QUOTE(sunnyboy @ Dec 31 2012, 12:16 AM) anyone getting wireless charger? Got lobang? I think I better prepare the charger. heard that nokia wireless charger pad DT-900 wont work with N4... wonder any other wireless charger pad locally? LG WCP-700 sure can work as same brand...but never see ppl selling.. wonder how abt Panasonic QE-TM101? Energizer's is confirmed working, just no idea where to find it. Aside from that, its smooth surface tend to cause the phone to slide down if without case on the phone. Tape, perhaps? Added on December 31, 2012, 12:40 am QUOTE(sunnyboy @ Dec 31 2012, 12:27 AM) nah... Apparently, they don't.http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/QI-Standard-wir...2#ht_2568wt_922 later kaboom syiok.... OT: why S3 and note2 need Charging Receiver Tag? i thought they originally got wireless charging capability? Announcement on S3's charging capability was the charging along with an add-on. But it somehow doesn't make it to the market (the official accessory) This post has been edited by Harddisk: Dec 31 2012, 12:40 AM |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jan 2 2013, 09:15 AM) Serious question bro, check this https://plus.google.com/1109140775260661183...sts/K9kgme2vJd2 If that's the case, offer it up for sales here to fellow forum members. A lot of them can't wait to get their hand on N4. I'm very happy with my S2 16GB (with 16GB sd card, rooted to paranoid android), and wondering whether Nexus 4 is worth using or I should just sell for cash. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jan 2 2013, 11:11 PM) I'm not surprised on the reactions here, it's well deserved and I'd be pissed too. I'll do what I can updating any news I have, even if the news comes from KL, sent via SMS to me and I'll have to replay it back here from Tokyo or LA. Godspeed... and bring us souvenirs, namely plenty of Panasonic QE-TM101. Stand tough, stand firm, guys. Stringfellow signing out. Already in the plane. Next post if any will be from Tokyo. QUOTE(assaopi @ Jan 3 2013, 12:19 AM) Ordered 4units on the 28th, comgateway has received my n4. My question is should i ship them back 2units each on separate dates to avoid complications at the custom? I am concern about the sirim quota of 3 units per certificate. Any advice? Ship 3 together so that you can make full use of the RM100 Sirim approval. |

QUOTE(assaopi @ Jan 3 2013, 12:26 AM) Hmm, means another rm100 for 1 phone Ah, I missed the point that you have 4 units. Then ships 2 by 2 separately are fine.Do they tax for phone case and screen protector? Anyone here got taxed, if yes how much? There was a member got taxed on the accessories when shipped together with phone. By right they are not eligible for tax because the value is < RM500. But our 1Malaysia Boleh Kastam, they are telur. |

I have used skinomi wet sp on my Tab before. Very difficult to apply and the orange peel stays! So back to dry sp.
Some claimed that SGP's doesn't have orange peel. Perhaps you can try SGP instead? |

QUOTE(anarchy2cruo @ Jan 3 2013, 10:15 AM) Aaaaa... forget it. Brandon Miniman is bloody pro-Apple reviewer. Somehow he's getting all the Android devices.OTOH, I prefer watching Michael Fisher's reviews. |
