If not mistaken someone posted a comparison between a few aftermarket air filter for its filtration capability and gain in HP(?). I tried to search the link for reading again but can't find.

Care to share the right footwork to drive flx cvt?

Added on December 9, 2012, 6:00 pmGuys. One n00b question here. How often do we NEED to polish our car?

Reduce your polishing unless necessary. Wax it once every fortnight if you're hardworking.

Why don't the car manufacturer make the car remember the DELAY, instead of depending the resister value to create the delay unsure.gif
*
For electronics, things related to timing is LRC, 3 components. Usual two that is used to make a delay timer, is Resistor Capacitor. Look at electronics as something very raw and physical, it doesn't know how to remember 'DELAY' like human, it's only interaction with electronic components.

Didn't. The SC says they are too busy today. I'm not keen on leaving the car overnight, except for CoSE. Only did regular maintenance. I asked if they can change my ATF oil now (15k service), SC said can't do something out of package.

Fyi me using Ir spark plugs from when car <1 yr old and can honestly say they dun give the difference in performance that is so obvious...
IINM such better SPs do reduce misfirings compared to std SPs...and of course, they also last longer! cheers.gif

However, one wld b paying much more for them. So ultimately, all factors/differences kinda balance up...  icon_rolleyes.gif

So...as alwaz, it's the Paymaster's choice....finally!

Are you using multiground iridium or single ground? For performance, single is best, multiground is for longevity and reliability.

My guess, there is a communication error between your ECU to fuel system. These code may go off after a few more error-less driving. Sometimes glitches do occur, as long as they don't repeat itself again.

Regarding the fast blinking of signal after changing to LED bulb, do you guys think those canbus error free LEDs will resolve this problem?

My wild guess again, it has resistors to burn off the power. Might be even able to DIY it. tongue.gif

David, yesterday I compared the vibration of my engine with nick's and ckdenion's. Looks like mine vibrates the most when I place my fingers on the engine cover. Why so, did I bend my conrods or something?

Mengsuan,

The reason for an engine shake involves below parts & concerns, it may be a single element that result the vibration, it could also be a combination fault that causes it. So, here we go:

1) Ignition timing too low
1a) faulty sparkplug
1b) faulty plug wire
1c) faulty ping detector
1d) faulty ignition coil
1e) idling speed too low
1f) vacuum leak
1g) throttlebody not close tight at idling
2) Rich idling
3) Faulty engine mountings
4) Intake & exaust camshaft timing inconsistent. Especially we Campor engine uses twin cam, if go hai cam means mahaicam, vibration & unsettle idling is in-eminent.
5) Exhaust pipe sumbat, backflow result in preignition causes engine vibration
6) Crankshaft bengkok
7) Loose piston ring
8) Flywheel bengkok
9) Wrong petrol (when presence octane insufficient to guard the combustian range, preignition happened resulted in ping/vibration)

10) Last but not least... Its an NGV car.

I'm not saying NGV car must vibrate, but the car was designed for petrol, changing it to drink any other thing than petrol need someone who mastered the whole technology, in order to achive optimal setup. Let's take a wild guess, u have tested other Persoga WITHOUT NGV, and their car generally vibrate less than yours? Let's assume NGV need higher RPM to achive lower torque compare to petrol, if this is he reason, now I understand why full time NGV taxi generally got higher idling speed but very little vibration.

I'm no NGV expert(not even dare to call myself a novice), so I am guessing it has to do with your NGV tuning(if not caused by all those physical faulty parts). Its better if you bring this list and reconfirm with your magician. Hope this help.

Hey david, thanks for your insight. I will look into the spark plugs as the first step of troubleshooting. I haven't changed it in 15000KM already.

When I compared with their Persona, I also made my car run in Petrol mode. Idling speed is the same for both NGV and petrol, shouldn't have any low idling speed issue, neither that preignition will happen because NGV is RON130 and I tested for preignition before.

Other possible reason is:
2) Rich idling (maybe because of screwed up AFR due to undesignated fuel being used)
5) Exhaust pipe sumbat, backflow result in preignition causes engine vibration
6) Crankshaft bengkok
7) Loose piston ring
8) Flywheel bengkok

Any recommended performance spark plugs? No need for long-life, so skip those multiground ones.
