yes..that should be normal.. sometimes my car is also like tat 

i encounter dis 2 times long time ago...just right after finish pump petrol...then start...
1st time is can start but engine died after 2sec...
2nd time is cant start for 1st crank...after that can start again...
till now tak tau apa masalah,since no more encounter after that so ignored it...

Pak Z1, if memory serve u well, masih ingat kah masa melampau your ole GaGa if terpump gas pedal sebelom stat, you'll get the same shit, very hard to crank stat It is normal for ALL cars la. Worst for oversized injectors/turbo cars, happened very often. Especially hot weather, nozzle tend to lazy shut down.

Meanwhile, don't know about engine oil can affect crank up the car Theoretically, practically, mechanically, don't think it brings any effect that helps start the car. However, if put 12 litres of oil inside, I'm sure it can't start because engine oil will flood the whole rocker and sneak in the combustion chamber  U know how I know this? There was once an apprentice in my magician's workshop, did oil changed with a Wigra 4G93, after that he asked how many needed to put back the engine. So the taochew told him 3(but didn't mention litre) So customer stranded infront of workshop, checked half day on the electronics and stuff to no avail in the end keep cranking until oil spilled out from engine oil cap only realized engine oil overflowed

urs is isolated case, & not relate to engine oil oso. car was driving suddenly die fire meaning ignition weak or dieded/low fuel supply/spakplak times up/fuel regulator dieded/injector sumbat & many other facts, quite confirm low engine oil is not included, unless....



last but not least, i suspect ur case was ngam2 that time ur fuel channel got bubble needed a bleed, or so happen dirty. as bubble gone/terbleed than ma auto fixed itself lor.
