Eqmal,
Here's some butthurt fact for Gabby AMT. AMT is not an automatic tranny, its a fully functional MANUAL tranny, with a robot seating in your engine bay shifting gear & pressing clutch!!! Imagine, when u push ur shift lever, then a transformer inside your engine bay press clutch then push 1st gear When it comes to maintenance, many can deal with the gearbox, but NOT the robot itself. Some people after stop at traffic light unable to downshift, kena mati engine hope the robot sendiri reset balik to Neutral, start fresh with N baru keta boley jalan. This normally caused by the shifter problem. What if its the robot problem? Turn off engine will not reset the robot back to "N", for all auto cars if gear engaged kenot be start!!! Which is also why often saw AMT broke down by the road side. I assume u know where is RS Auto, coz its located near DHL area. They know exactly what happened and able to REPAIR instead of replace. We've heard many butthurt owner spent 6k to replace the robot, which can be repair with a reasonable cost. Just like any other motor base movement generator. It needed carbon shaft surrounded by copper coil, in the existence of electricity to spin the shaft. When the robot gets weaken, it means the carbon terlampau nipis unable to generate strong movement. By changing carbon plate can revive the robot & make it useable again, call it refurbish. I've heard DIY refurbishment of AMT robot at the cost of RM60. If u know the problem & able to DIY, the car is the most economical auto car one can own in a life time. Stop sending Gabby to any other workshops, besides of those pakar Frenchie such as RS Auto(puchong)/Renautech(subang)/Osman Baba(klang)/kairol san(kedah). These are the experts in SERVICING Gabby instead of asking u to import replacement parts from France. Best part of it was, I've seen people couldn't start Gabby due to faulty sensor, 1 of these workshop able to WELD the sensor back in place and the car was fully restored, even better than factory setup!!!!! |

Hi everyone.
I been driving my saga fl for 18 months while experiencing a wind leaking noise all the time. The noise started to kick in when i hit 90km/h and above, and the noise becomes louder as speed increases. I sent to proton service multiple time and wasted weeks putting my car there but problem was not solved. Does anyone have the same problem? or what may be the causes? Recently, i accidently drop a pen into my dash board from those little ovally hole. Is it easy to remove the dashboard? The workshop I asked was gonna charge me 200-300 to open the dashboard |

No such wind noise, even up to 120kph... Mayb cos all my doors hv xtra OEM rubber seals? Which hole? 1. Aircon vents on dashbd facia? Or 2. those holes below the w/screen? QUOTE(zeone @ Dec 5 2012, 02:19 AM) Hi... I compared with my friend fl and concluded that it was mine that has a wind leak noise during high speed. Even the tech in proton admitted the noise but they just helped me to changed rubber on four doors and tighten up the door screw. My FL is 20 mths oledi... Road/tyre noises? Yup, plenty got!! If pen not giving any probs, why not save yr $$$... The pen was dropped into (2) the holes below wind screen that caused rolling and knocking noise with the stuff down there. It was really annoying I would like to try to open the dash board myself it it isn't that complicated. Or paying lesser to workshop who agrees to charge me less. At speed above 100km/h, Tyre noise is a common issue but wind leaking noise sounded like wind coming in from a small little spot. Since I had the doors rubber replaced, the tech told me its from the front windshield rubber, but will water leaks in as well if that's the case? Consider the rubber door seal is working fine, then most porbably caused by window rubber. The rubber use to kapik the window so it will not rattle and wind breaking noise should came from these gap.The pen was dropped into (2) the holes below wind screen that caused rolling and knocking noise with the stuff down there. Under the windscreen vent lead to nowhere besides the floor. If it sangkut meaning its near by ECU area, directly under the centre of desbod. Bring a torch light and search around la. Should be easily found. |
