Orait ... That day I went to 1U Daiso (new wing). I can't find the display case there. Anyone can help ?

BTW, I bought all Shell Lego 2nd wave already and one display case. My opinion is the display case is quite nice.
Bought a 2nd F150 to have #5 and #6 cars.
... and I have an extra truck...

guys its so difficult to find technic lego in kl..anyone know in kl who selling? when garden and tropicana..
*
Same. I'm also more into Mindstorm & technic sets, with power/pneumatics/control.
Most are selling Lego sets, or very limited technic sets.

The display case is located somewhere near the cashier area
*
err... I browse the wall behind/nearby cashier area, got all sorts of plastic containers/tupperware type. No display case sad.gif
Even browse the shelves nearby cashier, don't have also.

Classic Lego City rebuild - 50% completion

hehe... not that classic. I have those road panels, which are older models. Need to dig it up one fine day. Maybe I display the Lego Shell cars on it and take a pic.

the garage worth it or not?
*
To me, the garage is worth it.
- Got curve/contour
- Got based to stick it properly. But anyway, can use blu-tack to stick also.
- Original/OEM for display = nice.

Provided RM50/60 is not a big issue until have to eat roti for 2 weeks lah. tongue.gif

Half building 9395 technic. 1st technic. Really impresive on the gear and build up details..
*
Yep. Technic sets are fun in the sense of physics, engineering, gears/pneumatics(hydraulics)/electric motor/sensors/etc.

i still havent own any techic...
can i modify it using other normal lego bricks set? how bout NXT bricks?
*
Yes, technics works hand in hand with lego. In fact, even better. But it doesn't look nice, as most blocks/sticks have lots of holes in it for connectivity.
Standard Lego don't have that much holes.

Yes, NXT/Mindstorm is actually add-on of technics. All the parts will work together.

i should go hunt for other techinc next year then  blush.gif
thanks
hmm.. ok ok. i need to work on my lighting then
will try to improve  laugh.gif
still thinking whether i should get mindstorm NXT or not  hmm.gif
*
I have mindstorm v1.5 (2 versions before NXT). It is quite fun to program it and build your own stuff.
Then, get those additional sensors/accessories, to build whatever you want.

Mix with technic sets, you can build bigger things.

But it is quite a costly set.

Currently, I'm looking at those big set of technics.

Personally, i find getting from Ebay can be cheaper than Msia

I bought from few german ebay sellers. Their price is attractive. Shipping cost lagi attractive if you buy a lot from the seller bcoz the postage is measured by weight

Example German Ebay Seller  and  more icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah... it's an old set found in shelves years ago. The house is like barbie doll tongue.gif The pic shows it is open. The house can fold 180° to close up fully. smile.gif Nothing spectacular, just an old farm house.

I only have experience with DHL but i do believe others such as UPS and FEDEX offer the same service.

As for the custom tax %, you just need to google it. There are wide range of TOYS category but generally is 10% if exceed RM500 (including shipping charge)
*
Same with Fedex. If stuck at KLIA cargo, Fedex will call you up, ask if you want to clear the item out for RMxxx.xx amount and if you agree.
You can even request them to fax the details to you, which I normally don't bother.
Just say agree, they'll settle everything, and deliver to your door.
Make sure you have exact change to pay the delivery guy, they don't have spare change. They are delivery guys, not cashier tongue.gif
