Does anyone know of a good shop to buy older LEGO sets? Looking for Ninjago Bonezai and Mezmo spinner packs, but can't seem to find much Ninjago in the shops these days.

Does anyone know any shop in KL or PJ which still stocks a good number of Ninjago sets? My son started loving the line quite late (after watching the DVD) and now is crazy over them, but they seem to have been phased out of all the major stores. I'm having a nightmare tracking down Garmadon's Fortress (or Red Dragon Temple) because he really wants Samukai, and I'm also trying to find Bonezai, Mezmo (he comes only in his single spinner pack, doesn't he?) and the Red Samurai mech. Son also wants the Wrecking Ball crane set (thanks to the iPad app) but I'm not really sure I want to get that - he already has that huge City crane!

I could try eBay, but I'm not sure I can get them in time for Christmas.

hahaha nice job u got there bro...
actually ad venture to the dark side...
previously told myself, no SW set as i dont really into SW...
then suddently become more interested in them, when layan SW movie from  epi 1 till end
now started to get interested in SW set  doh.gif
I also thought that I could ignore SW sets - especially since I don't like the Clone Wars anime-style faces. Then Jabba's Palace came out..... and now my 7-year old son just starting to watch Star Wars Ep 4 with me. All the memories coming back, and now buy liao the Escape Pod. Already poison like mad - the quality is REALLY nice, so much nicer than the older SW Lego (back before they had fleshy coloured faces). I already have 2 of the old TIEs, but now this new TIE is really calling out to me every night when I sleep... so hard to resist buying it.

Best bet would be eBay, but I'm not sure that you'll be able to get it before Christmas. Could not find any eBay Malaysia listings at all.

Ninjago has been selling like hot cakes over the last few weeks - the TRU Bangsar Village people said that they had got in new stock, and after 2 days all kena sapu. After warming shelves for so many months, must be a very popular Christmas present option due to the DVD series being released.

morning all.
i see... ebay ar
ebay malaysia dont really have much ninjago set...  cry.gif
The skeleton sets are pretty hard to find yes, but the Snakemen sets are still available (although some like the rattlecopter aren't). Try searching under mykl1188 or kokejin and see - they usually have a range of LEGO stuff. Kokejin's stuff is usually really nicely priced (Jabba's palace for under RM600) while mykl1188 likes to break down his sets into separate smaller saleable pieces, so if you really want a certain figure but don't want the whole set, you can just buy the figure (although you pay a premium, it's still much cheaper than buying the whole set). Maybe get a Snakemen set? They're really fun to play with too. I couldn't find Garmadon's Fortress or the Fire Dragon Temple either (because my son really wanted a Samukai), so I bought the series DVD with the snakemen, watched the final episode with my son, and now I've got him the Epic Dragon Battle which I'm sure he'll love even more than either of the former two.

Some of the stuff on ebay.com.my is free shipping to Peninsula Malaysia (or COD) - if you're lucky the item you want will be free (for normal post, that is. If you want fast you have to pay extra).

Is anyone familiar with Ninjago lore (if such a thing exists)? Is it true that in the stories and series, the General and Warrior are unique, but the Soldiers and Scouts are multiple? Or can the Warrior (Slithraa, Fangdam, Bytar and Lizaruu) be multiple as well? Trying to plan which sets to buy, and how to not get too many of any figure unless it's a troop figure.

I've never heard of Chima, but looking at the sets I think I'm in deep trouble. As a Castle/Fantasy fan this is looking attractive. Thankfully it's a LEGO brand like Ninjago and so won't be as expensive as the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter sets.
