us retail pricing is useless benchmark coz local distributor set different standard.
LEGO creator / Ninjago (unlicensed) us19.99  ends up as rm109.90

Licensed Avengers Wolverine chopper / Loki truck /  and now this Spiderman set also us$19.99    will probably be rm$149.90 , coz the distributor felt like squeezing out more out from it and dont really in the mood to follow us$ retail.

thanks for the extra info. Yes, you are right, based on loki truck and chopper. it will be RM149.90.. sad..

correct me if im wrong... compared to Texchem... after ALJ taken over, not a single LEGO warehouse sale was held in recent years. I wonder where their excess stock went.
*
you are right, they just do that little sale at bangsar village and the selection is pity!
aiks.

sometimes TRU will discount their shelfwarmer sets (last few units) at ~50% off (TRU warehouse price) at their stores:

eg:

7051 Tripod Invader RM65
8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub RM65
8899 Gator Swamp RM130

unlicensed and discontinued & unpopular shelfwarmers, LoL
*
lego 7051 still got offer?

Yeah, it was stated that it is an experiment to see the Malaysian public's response to a standalone Lego store.
I bet you that they're half-empty now due to limitation of stocks and Christmas shopping.
Since they markup so high, I'm sure that if they can sell half of their stocks, they are able to sustain for his long... smile.gif

Added on December 27, 2012, 10:18 amBTW, damn... not only is my SSD stuck in Customs, they want to charge me duty of RM200+.... cialat... sad.gif
