Yeah, it was stated that it is an experiment to see the Malaysian public's response to a standalone Lego store.
I bet you that they're half-empty now due to limitation of stocks and Christmas shopping.
Since they markup so high, I'm sure that if they can sell half of their stocks, they are able to sustain for his long... smile.gif

Added on December 27, 2012, 10:18 amBTW, damn... not only is my SSD stuck in Customs, they want to charge me duty of RM200+.... cialat... sad.gif

I think it should work both ways if they want to gauge Malaysia's public response to a stanalone Lego store.
They should also provide a good range of Legos at competitive price.
Pricing them so high with half empty shelves won't get them far anywhere in the world.

By the way, don't we already have standalone Lego stores like Brickboys? Still not too sure what they want to achieve with their experiment.
Many to see how many poor parents they can slaughter??

hmm... I duno its a wise idea to have light directly shining on your LEGO constantly . The prolonged heat might discolor them.  I only do that when I need yellow parts for MOC..but only got white. LOL.
*
IMO I don't think the low heat from lightings will discolor lego bricks.
The main problem is due to UV from sunlight.
That's why I have hesitation to display it in cases exposed to sunlight. It's bound to discolor after a couple of years just like our paintings.

If you're in Singapore, The Hobbit is now available.
Spotted these for 20% off at Metro. Smallest set starts from SGD23,90. Cheaper than Malaysia.

my turn to be kena poison

They are more like toys packaged in book form with instructions.

Maybe Lego should package their smaller to medium sized sets in this form.
Probably get taxed lower and can be brought in by bookstores rather than ALJ so we'll see cheaper price.

this is not good..then they need to trade one another..hehe
series 9 is coming..u still can get the old series but difficult and quite pricey biggrin.gif
you want to start from series 1?  hmm.gif

I think this is good. It prevents hoarders from snapping up all the good figures at once and leaving non to the rest.
Also the packets won't be crumpled or bocor due to the picit2 process.
At least they separated the figures to Group A and B increasing the possibility to get the figure you want.
1/8 is better than 1/16 rite?
Very fair and ethical no matter if you're an early bird or late IMO...... able to do what Lego has in mind in the first place.
