Get the MVP instead, it's more rugged and heavy-duty compare to the vv.
the vv batt capacity is only 800maH, might as well get a few cheap EGOs with 1300maH batts.
the MVP has a 2600maH, that's almost 2 days of solid vaping without recharging, it's better than vv in every way.

Google around for YouTube videos for reviews on both before deciding.

1. you got liquid in the threaded connection of the battery and it is shorting
2. battery part is out of charge - if you were vaping it all the time when it was connected it may have charged little
3. you dragged too long (if auto) or held the button down too long (manual) uninterrupted, and triggered the safety shutoff
4. Your carto or atty is bad and shorting

my own recommendation:

- get a new atty (preferably something you can fix like vivi nova with your own DIY supplies of kanthal and silica wicks, videos all over YT on how to rewire and fixing it)
- get a ego adaptor, it's just another head that sits on top of your ego head, it's kinda like your first defense against juices dripping into your ego battery. It also serves as a 'extension' between the contacts of your batt and some atty which sometimes for whatever reason fail to make contact with your battery, I have some atties which seems too short but the adaptor head fixes it.
- egos are cheap if you buy just the batteries in 800, 900,1100, 1300maH. stock a few because their shelf-life are like a few months since we're using it everyday.
- replace the carto (the inner metal tube) with another, check if it's only the carto which is shorting. I havent troubleshoot a carto before since im using RAs.

Im just a vaper like the rest, like i said before i dunno how to fix a carto. From what i see on your vid, your carto base is fine, only the carto (the inner metal tube with 2 holes which you unscrew) is shorting. These cartos can normal be replaced if you have spares. Maybe you can google and find if there's YT on fixing it, chances are, you're not the first one to get that. get the viv novas i think you can find them at rm30-35 if you look around. it comes with 2 + 1 (already on the atty) coil heads which you can replace when you're changing juices or cleaning the old one. My first atties are clearomizers which are horrid, vivi novas are a good and reliable then I discover Genesis-style atties which needs fiddling and care but it vapes like a mother-----. I have the vivis as backups though. Never tried a cartomizer. probably missing out but i'm happy with what i've got.

better compare to my Bauway bridgeless 306 atomizer which I use for dripping, could only hold 3 drops max.

Yeah also hunting for those long-neck drip tips but hard to come by. So have you get any nice recipes since you've been direct dripping which i assume either you like to taste a variety of juices or you like to 'test' your DIY flavors before mixing a bigger batch for later? So far i had very few success with own DIY juices. most tasted like cow-pie and unvapeable hahaha

dunno yet but heard rumors about it. not sure if they will still kena tahan even though we just order Flavor concentrates with 0mg racun serangga. i'll know in coming weeks because i ordered some nice flavor concentrates from TPA and it was out of US since 22nd, Jan. so hopefully they wont bungle by associating flavor concentrates with e-juices with nics. I do know Fuzion Vapor has crossed us out from their shipping list since 15th Jan, so you know what to do during the next G.E.

A good RY4 is hard to find too. I've tasted Hangsen's premium RY4 and it's meh. doesn't pop much. nice TH though but just don't like chinese herb-like after-taste. Their HS-storm, HS-Pulse and HS Delight aren't memorable enough. So far still havent found a baccy juice which I like. I love Fuzion Vapor's 'Dean' but it's not a everyday vape, very rich and expensive to vape (now gone up to USD 7 for 10ml, use to be USD6) and they're no longer shipping here thanks to Liow Tiong LIE's stupid remarks. hard times for vapers but we'll 'Keep Calm and Vape On'.

It's called TH (Throat Hits) because of the nic and voltages, you need to either lower your nic % or play around with your voltages. Certain e-juices also comes 'pre-steep' (left for a few days in dark/airing it) so it can be quite rich and slightly potent. Most 'hand-crafted' e-juices from US usually are, but again that comes as vaping experience, everyone like their stuff to come in rich, then they can water it down with their own PV/VG. You also might wanne check if you're allergic to PG (Propylene Glycol) and request your e-juices to mix with VG and PG-alternatives. Some US-based ejuice companies does offer that. Try a creamier e-juice instead of sweet fruits, might not be the PG.

That's a lazy man's version of 'Steeping' your e-juices lol
Just make sure it's left in a clean area and FFS, use a clean drip-tip or mouth-piece on the tank when you wanne vape it.
Also hear some e-juices reacts with plastic tanks (cinnamon i think) so you might wanne steep it with glass tanks.
