Hi all, just bought a 4gb kinect bundle yesterday. My question is, apart from using a 16gb thumbdrive (or is it 32gb as some mentioned after the upgrade?), what are other available methods to increase the hard disk space? been browsing this forum & members mentioned about getting a bigger HDD. i wonder whether that refers to external HDD or just replacing the component inside the console? And i was learned that only MSoft HDD is compatible with the console. Can the experts here enlighten on this issue? Thanking you in advance for your explanations.

theres no way your going to get the original hdd for anything cheaper than RM350, unless your in the states that you might able to get it less $100

personally, i feel that MS will not make this as a priority. They will mostlikely target pirates, modders or glitchers on xbl. Having the 3rd party HDD is low on the list, unless you decided to tweek the files inside.

If the HDD is done correctly, it is compatible with unmodded console & won't void warranty.

So far I used those China OEM HDD without a problem for few months dy.

As long as PS3 allows normal HDD, I don't think M$ is stupid enough to stop gamers on point blank for this whistling.gif

So,what you guys are saying is that I can use a external hard disk instead of getting a HD which must tweak and adjust the setting?

Nope, the xbox uses laptop hdd so you either buy a WD laptop hdd, flash it yourself or just buy a compatible xbox hdd. The former is cheaper if you know how to flash the hdd and the latter is more expensive but it's hassle free.

Couldn't find one of those compatible Xbox HDD yet. But I did ask a shop to help me to flash another HDD though. The price..I have no idea yet.
