Hi all,

May I know what's roughly the price to repair a loose/damaged laptop hinge around Lowyat Plaza?

There's no problem with the screen tho..

The laptop's Alienware M14X.

bottom part of the screen becomes fat upon trying to open the lid.

dont know. because my bro used to work in dell office.. kinda high rank wan lar for his department.
he told me to use his name and see how they'll treat the situation

if still expensive, lowyat plaza it is.
so its mostly around RM100-200 to fix the hinge?

u might get slight discount by mentioning his name, but dont expect cheaper than outside.

RM100-RM200 are for normal laptops, not sure about Alienware coz i think outside also might not have stock

Depends what is your acceptable level.. And the pic not very clear also.

If u dun mind cosmetics not perfect then just change the hinge, if u mind then change casing might cost a bomb

Looks like ur hinges stuck and when u peel open the top screen the plastic casing cracked.

you could try downloading the service guide by googling and see if WD40 can loosen it

Where to buy the laptop hinge from ?

I have a hp notebook laptop, the hinger is coming off soon, the monitor screen cover is coming off slowing ( exposing the cable inside).
