My iphone 5 apparently won't go to sleep mode. I've set it to sleep after 1 minute but the screen is still on after 2 minutes. Any solutions bros?

Answering my own question, tongue.gif

I found out the problem is due to a bug. If Assistive Touch is turned on, the phone will not go into Auto Lock mode. If Assistive Touch is turned off, then the auto lock will function normal.

Didn't you guys noticed the problem?

I turn on Assistive Touch (that semi-transparent button on screen) for few days already and don't encounter such issue.
Default dim screen, then off & auto-lock within 1-2 minutes.
*
You try to press the home button using Assistive Touch & don't touch anything else on the screen. By doing that, your screen won't go to auto lock.

However, if you press the home button via Assistive Touch, & you swipe the screen left & right, the auto function will work. See the link below sad.gif

Same here. It's a bug.

Options:
1. Use Assistive Touch to lock your phone.
2. Make sure the last touch on the screen is not Assistive Touch. If you use Assistive Touch to go to Home from an app, then just swipe the home screen or touch anywhere else. Then it will auto lock.
*
I was quite surprise since nobody raised this issue up as this bug might drain the phone battery without user knowing it.

The issue has been raised since iOS 6 available.

Thanks for the heads up... I do hope Apple will resolve this issue in their next update sad.gif

This is just a small issue on my iPhone5 smile.gif ...... My old  iPhone 4S can't even turn on WIFI after update to iOS 6.0.1  biggrin.gif
*
A small but annoying issue sad.gif

Are other 4S user suffering the same WIFI issue like yours?

Damn Apple, updates are meant to fix problems & enhance user experience. It seems the iOS 6 made things worst. I was quite satisfied with the iOS 5.1.1 though.

Yes, many with 4S have reported on Apple discussion board. But another friend with 4S don't have this Wifi issue after upgrade.

Have you tried restoring your phone to default settings?

Just got my phone y'day.... but i am not sure if my cable got any problem, coz normally when u plug the port to the phone to charge... there is a sound that u hear and u know it's charging beside referring to the screen rite? but my cable is very sensitive, when i charge the phone, if i accidentally move the phone a bit, I will hear that sound again.....
Same goes to when i plug to my notebook. In fact when i try to sync the phone y'day (from 3gs to 5) my sync was not complete on first attemp because i moved the phone.... if like this is it the cable problem?
Shud i bring to maxis to change?
*
I encountered that on the very first time of charging. After I restart your PC, things turn out to be fine.

Yah I did, push hard and I will hear a "click" sound rite?
*
My case was the 'click' sound will appear when I move & use the phone as though the wire is loose. Anyway, now it works fine.

Have you tried restarting your PC?

my 3GS will disable the data upon call. iphone 5 hadnt tried.
*
Is it because your 3GS opted to run on EDGE? EDGE will disconnect the data whenever a calls come in. If you're on 3G, the data will not be disconnected.

Hi new IP5 user here. Did you or anybody else have drain the battery yet? I did this morning. Hard to drain even it still left 1%
I manage to run youtube for 15minutes + voice call about 5minutes before it dries up. This battery is great for me I guess  rclxms.gif
*
I thought we are not suppose to fully deplete the battery as it would harm the battery instead of doing good. To perform a deep charge cycle, just use the battery until there's about 10% left & recharge it back to a 100%. Shouldn't it be way?

I noticed sometimes my phone unable to autolock the screen, although i have set the time. Something wrong?

It's the issue with iOS 6.0.1. If you search around the thread, you will be able to know why.

Battery really drains fast... Played about 20 mins of "The Walking Dead" and it zapped 20% of my phone's battery rclxub.gif
