i'm not able to connect VPN after using maxis with E398 usb modem. Any setting require?

Before use this, i'm using streamyx and i've no issue with VPN connection

I don't think there is setting need to be done on the dashboard or on the modem itself.

Here is based on my experience using my office VPN, which doesn't use a standard VPN port. When I register with Umobile last year, I cannot use my VPN, after some complaints to them and waited for 2 months, finally they open my VPN port until today.

That's time I also use Maxis, which never had any issue. After I heard rumor on FB that Maxis started to closed some port, I not able to use Maxis anymore. But Maxis open back the port after receive some complaints from user.

I can use both Maxis and Umobile until today.

So, it's depend on which telco you use and what port. Streamyx normally will open all port.

Connect the MR3420 to your computer and same as E398 to the computer.

Use E398 connect to the internet using computer and PM me your Teamviewver ID.

Hi Boss, i think i did a silly mistake.
It's a problem with Maxis that i not able to connect to the internet, neither the modem nor router issue.
sorry for the inconvenient cause.

Hi Blacktubi, i able to connect to Maxis Wireless BB wth E398 + MR3420 V2.2 now.
But i have one query, at Network -> 3G/4G -> Modem setting. I cant see the E398 listed there.
Shouldn't it auto detect and appear at the Modem setting list? Do I need to do something to make it appears there?
Thank you.

Got my second USB from this seller, intended for my brother but if my dual 3G setup works fine I will need a third. Now I need a right USB hub since Belkin doesn't work good. Simple setup of 3G connected to my Mikrotik RB951G-2HnD.
Consistently above 10Mb/s (hovering around minus 79-85dB) download so far. Few times it was consistent to 16Mb/s (-71dB) but I forgot where and how I placed the modem. Noticed that a mere 10 degrees movement does have an impact on the speed consistently. Owell maybe due to tower placement around my area. Not sure if antenna will boost it much further, will need to further think about this option

Get a powered USB hub as USB modem draws a lot of power.

Yes, you might get a different tower just slight change of direction. Anyway, if Mikrotik has the ability to read CELL ID. Try get it written down.
