I actually just saw this post going through some old post. Hahaha... Been so busy with work that I haven't really been active online for a long time. Company got a lot of restructuring so yea, lots of work to do and prepare for 2013.

Hopefully, I'll have more time to start getting involved here again. XD

Are you coming to the gathering? Jan 13, the big day. The game against MU.

Where are you guys gathering? I wouldn't mind. It'd be nice to finally watch a game with some Liverpool fans. All my friends all support Arsenal, MU and Chelsea so no fun watch with them sometimes. XD

A good result. It was never easy to play Sam Allardyce team away from home. We threatened real early but somehow lost the tempo after Enrique subbed off with Cole. Despite scoring the 2nd goal, I still think Cole should be replaced with new player.

Though I thought Hendo substitution works wonder. He was chasing the ball and closing the opponents non stop after he replaced Lucas which by the looks of it still not fully fit. Allen also seems like he is still off form probably because overplayed?

Now that we are on top half of the table and 4 points off top four.. its looking good.

Yea, Lucas looked a bit off but surely he will need some time to get back to full fitness after such a tough year. Allen has had a dip in form but he looks more dangerous and likely to create something now that he can play higher up with the return of Lucas.

Don't think anyone mentioned this yet but I thought Reina had a good game last night. It's never easy against tough physical teams like West Ham but he commanded his area well enough. Somewhat re-assuring when compared to his early season performances.

He has been playing in the holding role, you are not expecting a holding player to deliver a killer pass or an assist to the front line, do you? Mind you, Alonso was signed at the age of 23 and even he struggled to come into his own until his final season and don't forget that he cost us around 10m at the time?

As for dictating tempo, just look back to September to see how he was a cut above the rest.

Honestly, it feels like you've already made up your mind when Allen penned his signature, so I'll leave it at that.

So true. I think Allen can come to be a good player for us but we need to give him time too. He is young and on top of that, the pressure isn't exactly the same playing for Liverpool. People generally have higher expectations.

As for the sideways passing and not really adding much to the team, I remember a time when people were also bashing Lucas for playing sideways passes and not adding much to the team be it attacking or defending but look at him now. He is one of our most important players today.

Don't get why people like to brand someone a flop when they haven't even given them one full season to play. But then again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion so if they think Allen is a bad investment then too bad lo. I rather reserve my judgement for Allen for now, I wouldn't mind if he gets to stay in the team for a few years and see what kind of player he grows into.

ya...his bald head will sure impart some wicked spin on the ball as he heads it towards goal.

Or he could polish his bald head so that under the sun, the glare from his shiny head blinds the opposition players. Sounds like a great plan! We'll be next season's highest scoring team. XD
