whatever happened to us being interested in matt jarvis ? last i rmb was when king kenny was at helm. granted he's not a world class winger, but with us not being in the champs league for quite sometime now, our ability to attract top top players is lower. i've always thought highly of him, back in wolves n getting called up by capello then. decent with both feet, its obvious he's better than downing.

i get sad n angry to see how bargain signings have deluded us for sometime now. i cant think of anyone we signed on the cheap that turned out good for the past 5 seasons. the only players that have had some impact are players like maxi n bellamy who were free. but those were already established players prior to joining us.

p.s. even a young 22 year old benteke is doing relatively good in a very young n new team in villa. first season as well. n now we're linked with the player he replaced, darren bent, who cant even get a run of games under lambert. seriously a joke, our transfer dealings over the decade has been pathetic. awful.
