Got a *big* problem here. I am offered a chance to take the SAP ABAP programming course which is gonna cost me only RM4500. At the same time, one of the local training centres offered me a place to study CCNP under the SLG. Both are starting early next month. What do you guys think? SAP or CCNP This post has been edited by archer: Mar 7 2006, 04:56 PM

Hi archer,
Can I know which college is offering the SAP ABAP programming course at RM4500? How long (days) is the course? Is it basic or advanced level?
Thanks for the feedback!

my advice.. CCNP.. ABAP isnt as easy as it seems. it might earn u a good pay next time.. but there are already many SAP grads outside..
just my 2 cents.

You mean the market is currently flooded with SAP graduates? How about grads for SAP Business One? Any idea?

I dun think u can use the term "flooded" here. There might be quite a number of SAP graduates but i certainly think that it'll be more in demand compared to CCNA holders. Personally, I'll go for SAP coz it's more exclusive in a way. CCNA is getting pretty common nowadays...

Ya Rerd: i think he is refering to CCNP not CCNA. its different based on what my networking frens said. (sorry im not from a networking background). CCNP is a more advanced certification as compared to the basic CCNA.
Jessica: well, im not too sure. As lotsa colleges are offering SAP in colleges nowadays. i heard from mmu(cyber) alone there was 14 passes. while in sunway college, there was 7. I heard this from my trainer. Think about the other college's such as APITT (i heard they are offering too) and all those were last year. This year, sunway is also offering oil and gas SAP certification. I cant imagine the number of grads. But dont stop yourself from getting into the SAP if ur really determine, go ahead. Good luck!

But I would still think that there are more CCNP cert holders compared to SAP.

Hmm... I think you should ask yourself whether you prefer programming or networking (not SAP or CCNP)

ccnp need to be renewed every few years. That mean retaking the exam again. Unless you continue study for ccna which also requires renewal. Sap I never heard of need to be renewed.
