Hi...I'm a relatively new apple user (nov07)....here are some of my home setup.

Imac 2.8Ghz, 4Gb Ram, 500GB HDD (with CPL polarizer on lens)

One very, very important thing about buying a used eMac is whether it is affected by a hardware failure issue and whether the current owner has had the issue rectified. Here's a little quote from Apple and a link to more info including serial number range of eMacs affected.

The eMac that I have and is now selling happens to be in that serial number range. It was sent in and fixed by Apple though I'm not sure what they did, maybe a logic board replacement.

Speedwise, a 1.25Ghz G4 eMac is very good for surfing. No worries about viruses yet. Even running older versions of Photoshop is very fast. Just make sure you have adequate ram, at least 1GB.

As for connecting to the Internet, no probs, you can use any Ethernet ADSL modem. Either using a PPPOE dialer or using the modem as a router. However USB ADSL modems are generally not supported.

Only now I realized that I ordered the wrong Keyboard layout for my MacBook after 4 months of using it.
This is my International English Keyboard layout. I think those sold in Malaysia should be US English Layout.
Which is slightly different.

Notice the '±/§' key beside '1' and the 'Enter' key, Left hand side 'Shift' key is shorter to accommodate the '`/~' key
Words also not available like 'Option', 'Shift', 'Return', 'Delete', 'Capslock', instead replace with symbols.

LOL. Any Mac users here in LYN with the same keyboard layout like me?

thanks. full setup not so nice maaah my room so small wan huuhhu.. cheap apartment ahaha..
i choose ikea coz they are cheap hahah.. dat actually picnic table. i prefer simple square table rather than complicated study/working table.
