QUOTE(UnUsUaL @ Apr 20 2007, 03:02 PM) One more fanboyism comments and you'll getting a free trip to Mars and please stay low profile, you are spamming the forum with unwanted and non-constructive comments/posts. Notice that as well.... Why is this subforum still post-counted...? This will only attract non-constructive posts and spams. |

QUOTE(The Scent LYN @ Aug 19 2007, 02:51 PM) Maybe he just got it from PC fair n never update his siggy. Think outside the box my friend. N pity ur forehead. your "think outside the box" philosophy is flawed.... he did answer, didn't he....? coz if i were to think outside the box, that makes your siggy outdated as well..... |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Oct 31 2007, 12:22 PM) I've modded it to look like the LCARS interface from your Star Trek control panel. The Nokia 770 runs on Debian Linux, with overlaying interface by Nokia's own Maemo. This device is where i first dabbled on Linux, when i needed a Linux Live CD to update the firmware of the 770. It that device of yours had been a little thinner, it would look more like an LCARS-based PADD.... if only the Touch can be modded into such interface.... |

QUOTE(76radius @ May 1 2008, 12:01 PM) After 2 weeks of waiting the MacPro (2x 2.8Ghz QuadCore Intel Xeon) stock, I finally collected my toy from KLCC Machines yesterday evening. (N/B : It blazing fast converting my Blu-Ray movie for 40min compared to 3 hours with my previous iMac 2.4Ghz C2D/4GB ram. :-). ) It's gonna get hot at that corner... Managed to grab the following goodies too yesterday : (a) Apple Cinema Display 20" (b) Airport Express from KLCC Machines (to substitute the MacPro connection since it came without Wifi Card, Airport Express become the Wifi Card for my Macpro) © Time Capsule 500GB from Lot10 Machines (1TB no more stock :-( ) (d) Apple TV 160GB from Lot 10 Machines :-) But why stock...? Should have gotten the nVidia GF8800 GT instead...? Added on May 1, 2008, 3:21 pmthe more i see the Mac Pro, the more i thought of it... airflow... and direct contact with the ground... QUOTE(wei @ Oct 29 2008, 11:52 AM) Watch Activity Monitor to see your Mac memory usage, if it have high page out, time for more RAM. Also watch which app is hogging your RAM. which app...? it's more like which Mac OS.... even though I've got 5GB, I've got more page outs on Leopard than on Tiger... Leopard is a real RAM hog.... |

That's the reason why I'm using both.... To me, Leopard is as almost as a real flop as Microshit's Vista....
If Snow Leopard is what they claimed to be, I'm all for it... Somehow I got the feeling that the current Leopard and the upcoming Snow Leopard is somewhat synonymous with Vista and the upcoming Windows 7... flops on the current OSes, and their successors being emphasised on stability and performance enhancements rather than new features.... |

I've used Mac OS as far back as OS 8.6 on a G3.... but I don't think you guys would wanna touch that.... much like Windows 95/98 at that time... I started to use Mac more frequently when it was 10.2 Jaguar....

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Oct 29 2008, 09:28 PM) damn! this is GREAT! really, i never think that leopard was 64bit coz i only currently into mac & i know "snow leopard" was 64bit On the other hand, with Windows XP being 32-bit, I always thought it can handle up to 4GB.... it being weird that leopard able to detect 4gb while xp cant. i though there is something special bout it earlier anyway, thanks for the infos bro.. |
