EDIT
now that we have established that cannot do maxis multi sim and share data
Which is the best data plan that gives the best service, faster speeds, higher fair usage policy quota and lower monthly commitment?

Have biz68 and wanted to get multisim and share unlimited data on iPad in addition to my iPhone .
Found out multisim data share discontinued since may 2012. So now...

Option 1
Get wifi iPad and tether to iPhone
+ save money
+ no additional fee/month
- tethering drains iPhone battery like water
- tethering very troublesome sometimes need to restart hotspot
- no always on connection
- no gps

Option 2 get a cellular iPad and pay another data plan
+ gps
+ always on connection
+ no troublesome tethering
+ iPhone battery no drain
- a bit more expensive
- additional maxis unlimited data plan (another 68/month)

Very disappointed no data sharing multi sim from Maxie now.
What is the best course of action to take ?

Ipad with cellular if u cant tether your internet from your phone.

trust me , its worth it.

if your iphone battery drains like shiat , get a powerbank , and on ur hotspot 24/7.

Extra RM400 saved from your Ipad can be spend on it.

and u save rm68/month too. smile.gif

i opt to wifi 3g cause i have a multi sim . too bad they dont allow data sharing among multi sim now.

Wait ... I recall last time that if you are on the unlimited data (RM 99) plan .... you are able to have multiple SIM cards and you can share from the same data package ...

Only if you sign up the 1/3/6 data package then you cannot share the data plan for your multi-sim.

Maxis have this Multi-Sim 1 LINE (http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/latest/promo/m1lsm_intro.asp?iStruct=0:2:12:11) ... means you only have 1 number from Maxis ... but you can have multiple SIM cards so you don't need to keep swapping them in and out of your devices.

The last time I spoke to them (mind you, this was almost a year ago) was that if you have an unlimited data plan (RM 99/month) then the data line can be shared among all your multiple SIM cards (same line) ...

Is it worth paying rm15 extra sim and rm68 unlimited data plan for the 4g iPad ?
That means I'm setting aside rm996 per year to maintain this connection.

This is in addition in addition to my already unlimited iPhone biz68 package (rm120 bill after include calls and SMS) and maxis home fiber at rm118/month.

Is it worth paying the extra for the convenience of an always on the move iPad or is that money better of spent somewhere else ?

just to check, if i were to get the 4G LTE 32gb Ipad, can i use any data plan i want ( of course need to cut the sim to fit inside)

i currently have a 6gb a month Maxis broadband plan from my Old Xoom tablet. Can i transfer the sim to the Ipad?

New theory
Data sim in iPad 4g
Bluetooth tether to non data iPhone

iPad hotspot battery will last longer than iPhone hotspot
