Lol that's nothing to worry about, it just mean that someone just posted in the thread that you are currently reading. If you click hide the notification it simply hide the yellow notification box, the new post will still be there. Even if you hide it, when someone put a new post in the thread that you are reading the notification box will come back.Not device related.
