My thoughts on telcos:

It really depends on your location and your usage Some area you can get fast P1 , some super slow.

So some areas maxis, may some other celcom or digi.

Last week I had lunch with a friend in medan putra , menjalara

kepong. He is using maxis and I am using digi. So we decided use

speedtest.net to check out data speed

After reading bros remark on maxis, I would have expected

very good speed against my digi. But surprise , surprise. His speed was

below 1000 and I getting 1600kbps

Today I am testing in my office (menjalara kepong) I am surprised to
get a of 3000 to max of 6500kbps

Will keep on testing the next few days to see if any consistency.

Anyway, the coverage outskirt is still no1. celcom and no2 maxis

As I said it depends on your location, your usage : data, sms or calls

which is more and work out your average cost

Went to LYP SC today. They didn't entertain accessories replacement without receipt. So, I didn't manage to replace my adapter. Also, they said only cable has ready stock but not adapter. Adapter has to wait till next week. shakehead.gif

Ended up jalan2 in LYP, looking for MHL cable. Looks like no luck, only ori but not sure if they are really ori. In those casings shops in LYP... sweat.gif So easy for them to quote me RM 90. laugh.gif

I'll get the 3rd party one from China then. biggrin.gif

Wow just realised that the charging time is really long. Last night I plugged in at 11pm with 38% and by 3am, its was only 84%. Thats long coming from a 2A charger lol

Shouldn't be so long
Better check your charger

i was previously using Digi and jumped to Maxis... and trust me, in terms of speed Maxis > Celcom > Digi

In speedtest,
Highest i ever got for Digi which is once in a blue moon is 1.4mbps.. usually average i only get 30kbps - 300kbps

Maxis highest i ever got was 7mbps!!! comparable to unifi lol, average i usually get 4-5mbps..

Still beats celcom and umobile speed from what i've seen from the others =)

and the best part is
"RM0: Great news for mobile internet users on 1GB & above plans. Effective 3/12/12, upon exceeding your plan quota, you may continue browsing at a reduced speed for FREE as we have removed the RM0.30/MB charges. However, to enjoy browsing at a regular speed, we recommend you purchase a quota upgrade by dialling *136*9#"

received that sms few days ago  rclxms.gif

When choose telco consider which place you spent most your time and are
U relying most on data for Internet or most of time on uniifi
I never get below 1000 Kbps since I bought note 2 two months ago
Using digi. Check overall cost of data plan, phone calls, SMS
If your friend stays near your place check what speed he is getting
On his telco
What may be good for bros here may not be the same for you
