dear all
i am new in the UT investment and i just got myself invested in two funds, namely the Kenanga Growth Fund and Hwang Asia Quantum Fund.
When i look at the performance of these funds, it was stated that bid to bid returns for KGF was -1.6, 1.0, 0.3, 5.0 and 13.5% for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively while the smilar returns quoted for Hwang AQ was 0.9, 6.7, 12.5, 18.0 and 29.8.
My questions:
(1) What do these figures tell us? (AQ is good for short term earning?)
(2) Take AQ for example, if the return quoted was 29.8% at one year, does this mean that every RM1 we invested will give us the earning of 30 sen at the end of one year provided there is no unforeseen issues occur?
THanks for any input and please forgive me for my noobie questions...
