Hey guys, I haven't read through the entire topic response so my question may be repetitive (I hope not).

Question: There's a saying that ultimately the stock prices always go up in the long run if you have the stomach to sit through the bearish times. So my question would be, is that saying referring to indices or company stocks in general (on average, assuming they've past through the difficult first few stages)?
