Principal Asset launches Next-G connectivity fund

KUALA LUMPUR: Principal Asset Management Bhd today launched Principal Next-G Connectivity Fund, which will be initially distributed exclusively through Standard Chartered Bank branches nationwide.

Actually this is just a feeder fund for that one:
Neuberger Berman 5G Connectivity Fund

As Huawei is not listed on stock market, it cannot invest in the by far most attractive company of the sector.

Here you can find their Top 10 holdings as of 30 Nov 2020: https://secure.fundsupermart.com/fsm/admin/...sheetNBB058.pdf

I will have a look in the companies, probably something will interest me.

Well, a lot of boombastic funds newly launched are mainly feeding into offshore funds or ETFs.

RHB i-Global Sustainable Disruptors - MYR Hedged -> Based currency in USD and advised by J.P Morgan Asset Management (Singapore) Limited.
United Great Dragon Fund - MYR Hedged -> United China A-shares Innovation Fund - A Acc USD
Affin Hwang World Series - Next Generation Technology Fund MYR-Hedged -> Blackrock Next Generation Fund
Affin Hwang World Series - Global Disruptive Innovation Fund - MYR Hedged -> Nikko Am ARK Disruptive Innovation Fund
United Global Healthcare Fund -> Base currency is SGD

Yes, only rebranding. StanChart sells the new hot cake 5G that is nothing else than a Affin fund that is nothing else than a Blackrock or whatever fund. Fees, fees, fees, that is what is all about, pointless and boring.

Low interest rates are pure poison for banks, in times like this better to avoid them all.

1. When the fund house publish the return rate, does it taken the maintenance fee into the consideration?
Let's say 10% YTD return, does this YTD included managemet fee deducted?
*

The management fee is taken out by the funds company on a monthly or quarterly basis. So it is included in the performance data.

About the sales charge do take note that Malaysias mantra "All rates are negotiable" certainly is valid here also.

Thanks, so all kind of maintenance fee, trustee fee etc are included in the performance data, except sales charge which is charged by the sales agent/platform, and excluded from the performance data right?
*

Basically yes. Not important for you, but not all of the sales charge is collected by the seller and not all of the management fee by the funds company. They need to share dry.gif

That is why sales agents / platforms / banks can sometimes sell with zero sales charge and still have imcome.
