SPY, VOO? Heard of it, just buy and keep 10 years = peace of mind biggrin.gif but am not too sure of the available/best channels in Malaysia to get them, taxing, other details etc...any recommended readups (updated) ? Highly appreciate summaries as I am seriously rclxub.gif
I have too many tabs opened on my browser while researching my case + looking into multiple threads for info doh.gif

If you don't mind US dividends tax, get VOO (cheaper)
If you want to do covered call go for SPY

Of course with US ETF, you need to consider dividend tax of 30%.

If you want to avoid the dividend tax, go with CSPX listed on LSE UK

Broker: Interactive broker

Other asset managers don't offer global funds that you can buy via EPF-MIS?

I think public mutual got. I want US access. I don't want china access. US stocks > china in terms of quality.

Not to mention majority of the unit trust available in Malaysia sucks and can't even match EPF returns.

For DIY, need to adhere to EPF list of approved funds. You may check out Philip Managed Account for Retirement for Principal Global Titan funds and other quality funds that are not approved by EPF.

Best,

Unable to even access the page since yesterday. Will try again tomorrow. Doesn't instill confidence as website is down during weekends. Lol.

They don’t have the best UI however they are licensed by Securities Commission of Malaysia.

I know. I have an account with eunittrust. Lol. But unable to access that Philip Managed Account for Retirement site.

Upon closer inspection services charge of 3% for each transaction. I will just leave my money inside EPF sad.gif

What fund to purchase?

Use this to check the fund performance for past 1, 3, 5 years. It needs to be consistent.

What works last time may not work in the future.

If you ask me what fund to buy and hold for 20-30 years? There is only one fund..

Come I spoon-feed you.
Buy TA global tech. Every month just buy. Don't look at returns. Come back after 20-30 years.
