I forgot what kind of absorber I changed. I am not really car enthusiast. I went to this shop in kepong. Found the contact from online. This guy used to post a lot in this forum selling car parts but nowadays he is less active probably due to business is good. His nick is
zendengohzendengoh. The absorber I changes is mid range only. I didn't want to invest too much into cars. I could have changed to better absorber and spring. Then ride would be sweet. But I ops for mid-range solution. Price/performance.
The car itself is okay. I have changes some engine parts...some five ring or something..I forgot the exact name. You know lah..those Ah beng shops and their pronunciation is really off. Also replaced the alternator before. My car is already 7 years old and still okay. If it's proton, I am sure it is already time to change. I owned proton before, so I would know. Sure, it's not great car...it used to be top cheapest SUV where it was once a popular stolen car. Since then a lot of other brands already came out with better offer. However, toyota is known for their reliability. It is not perfect (some parts replaced) but it is a good combination of price, fc (1.3liter only) and service. I can't say the same for p1 or p2. At least for me, I send all my services to Toyota. They will check everything nicely and tell me what's wrong. When parts need to be changed, I do it in Ah beng shop with ori parts. Save me tons. It's a family car and suv/mpv. Definitely not for people who want powerful ride.
