If I were to only collect 1 g-shock, is this model advisible?
AQ-S810W-1AV

Or is there any other better choice?

Dowan colourful..
*
hmm dont think that is under the g-shock group .. and it depends on your budget and what functions you want and also you prefer a digital / analog / digital + analog

Hi all sifus and masters,

I would like to ask the price range for g shock rangeman?

I saw from People offering from RM980 to RM1999,

How do I indicate the watch is authentic?

Appreciate ur advice.
*
Probably all authentic .. G-factory selling at retail of 1129. I bought one of mine at Hour Tag @ the Curve, priced at 1199, purchased at 1080 after discount. As for online sellers who got their stocks from maybe overseas supplier or local i dont know, seem to have a cheaper price of around 980. It all depends on the markup each of them did. G-factory must sell at the fixed 1129 price, while others are free to adjust the price based on how much profit they want to make. I purchased another rangeman, the lightning yellow from japan for 1400.

cant get them align... cause this is real screw not decorated ones like the old MTG chasis

the new chasis on s1000 is sandwitch by 2 stainless steel onto a center resin structure....
*
not too sure if real screws or studs ... it is resin sandwiched between 2 steel plates but then i remember them saying hold on together by 4 studs ... i might have gotten it wrong .. those screws / studs really bugs me .. and i am considering to get one of it sad.gif

Hi guys. Im new to g shock. Owned one purple color normal g's but display kaput dy. So im looking for new model. Got one catched my eye, it is GA-1000-4A. Is it good and any recommended seller for this model? Been quoted for 1100MYR at sg wang. Thanks
*
if i remember right, the ga-1000 are going for less than 1k .. probably at the 700-800 range .. i might have mistaken it for other watches tho correct me if im wrong ..

QUOTE(PedangGila @ Dec 12 2013, 06:01 AM)
Wah. All going for RM1k++ model aa. I just bought a DW 5600E this month, my first Gshock. Am eyeing a piece from this online shop G-People. Has anyone ever deal with this shop?

@nuhciaw yeah too bad the screws head are not aligned. Lack of engineering precision but that's about the right price. The only watch I recall to have such perfectly aligned screws is AP.
*
yeah i think so .. oh well maybe think of it as its unique point hahaha they could have used torx screws for it .. so it looks almost the same in any direction like some of the APs.

go for it!!!

*
Should be around 850 .. dont think you'll be able to find any cheaper than there for now .. since no local stores stock them, meaning no retail prices sad.gif

Parcel just arrived yesterday .. GW-A1130! Im liking how it looks! But havent got time to play with it yet.. busy busy

Guys can u know why the barometer like that 1?

Just got it today.

Need some advice
*
whats the problem you referring to? cause i dont see any

if you are referring to the dots above temperature reading .. you can refer to page E61 of the manual .. it's a pressure graph which automatically logs data in a certain time interval

The price difference of RM400 for the gwa1100 is actually a lot if it's true. I don't get the luxury to travel overseas often or work abroad, so i'll have to settle with online sellers. They are friendly people and i'm not worried bout the warranty as well since all if them are made to take beatings. Haha.

I think we don't have to argue about the price here... let's go back to G-Shock fever... he he he...

Any GW-A1100 owner here can confirm about the problem on the loose hour hand during stop watch function?
*
Eh, like how? i haven,t really played with the stop watch yet and i'm too lazy for that now. Maybe i'll try tmr to see if i notice something similiar to what you mentioned. I do notice one thing though, the second hand don't point at the correct markers at certain portion of the dial even after zero-ing it.

"It is the tiny movement of the hour hand that happens immediately after a tap on the side."
I have this problem on my GW-A1000. It moved about 1-2 minutes on the hour hand when I stopped the timer and hit/bump the side of the watch. Does GW-A1100 have the same problem?

Thanks.
*
Tried with my 1130 .. doesnt seem to have any issue like what you mentioned .. one thing though .. i noticed my hour hand is a bit off to the right after centering it lol .. guess it's cause of the japan movement but cased in thailand reason .. but still i like the watch very much =D

Oh... my bad. Sorry.
Just read from Watchuseek forum, there are quite some problem with the watch (GW-A1100)
Watchuseek
Post #49

Damn, I really like this watch.
*
was just mentioning that previously ... the alignment of the dials .. other that that i dont find the others an issue .. if i were to do timing i got other watches for it be it a ga110 or a rangeman or a frog .. im currently using this as my dress watch lol until the mtg arrives ..

Not sure how I missed that and didn't know that the 1130 suffer the same fate. Saw some pictures of 1100 with correct alignment. Suspect not all unit have the alignment problem.
*
i think so too ... some has it some doesnt .. since i ordered it from japan, it's too much of a hassle to ship back n so on.. it doesn't affect the functionality of the watch so it's ok, i can live with that .. lol it's not that obvious though .. you got to really stare at it then only you will notice it ..

Sad to see that 1100 0r 1130 have a bit of problem here and there... yet casio advertised it as a pilot watch.
My 1000 doesn't have the seconds hand problem. But it does have the loose hour hand during stop-watch function.
And it was Made in Japan !!!
*
i still dont quite get what loose hour hand means .. knock it and it drops? that's what i can understand .. but why would u hit it on purpose when it's running? just curious unsure.gif

Ah i see. Hmm if just a small tap will cause that maybe you would have to check back with the shop you purchased from and ask for an exchange? If you have just purchased it or warranty is still valid. Watchuseek forum is actually quite informative. So far have you come accross any posts related to this issue? Maybe you can raise this up n see if anybody there face the same thing.
