CR is meant for US & Canada Market.
ER is meant for Europe Continents
DR is for International Market.
JF is for Japan Domestic Market

Z symbol is mean Zulu Time or UTC Time for short. When you use it, it will point back to UTC time in anywhere in the world but depends on which time zone you are in. Example, if your local time is say 4:47p.m or 16:47, when you press the bottom Z button, it will point to 12 o'clock UTC time for couple of seconds (UTC time is 08:47). This is useful for pilot to know the exact UTC time against local time. In other words, Zulu Time also known as Military Time.

The reason is simple, due to facing stiff competition from Citizen & Seiko, Casio now realized that some MB6 model need to be sold in SEA Market even tough the MB6 is not working in here. However there is a good sign that G's are now a premium watch which we have seen in the Aviator line of the 1000 series.

DW-5600 = Battery powered G's using CR2016
G-5600 = Solar Powered G, using rechargeable battery CTL1616
GLX-5600 = Battery powered G's using CR2025, adding moon phase & tide graph (which is sharing the same features on GLX-150 or Gulfman G-9100).

Yes. Both are rare to find now days but not Ebay or Rakuten Japan.

G-Shock is made by either 3 Casio factories: Japan, China & Thailand.

If your case back is stated Japan Y, means is fully Made In Japan (especially the module). But the strap may source from Thailand or China.

Don't worry, is genuine G.

Note: Japan Y = It's mean from Casio Japan, Yamagata Factory.

RM300 is good deal for blue Gulfman. To check the authenticity you may inspect some element:

a) The wording GULFMAN is at top (below the word "Shock Resist")
b) Check the caseback, there a turtle with a ninja sword picture engrave on it, material is made by titanium
c) Check the wording on the strap, on top is "dual illuminatior" in white, bottom is written "rust resist"
d) Try to press the mode button on the bottom left, make sure it's has tide mode, world time etc.
e) Finally a module number 3088 which also indicate the back of the watch.

Correct. G-People is not Marco Dealer. They source it from a dealer in Langkawi which the main source is from Hong Kong or Taiwan. To claim whether any dealer who sell original or not, we collector must do own study first before confirm whether the model is existed in Casio archive.

Casio Japan is a perfect place to start, just key in DW-6900, there will more than 500+ model of these, putting an extension such as "KG", "PL" will point to specific model. If you are more keen on International, Jayvs of Hong Kong is excellent. Their data base is huge. From the vintage model to current models.

Marco price is higher due they want control stock and sold some exclusive model in their G-Factory which also own by them. Of course their range is more than normal dealer, but the end it's up customer budget. If they willingly to spend their money on G-Factory is their decision.

G-Shock is known for survival for years or even decade, the majority on today problem is module problem which need to be improve significantly, especially the China made solar module which detect early by my dealer before he sold to me. Of course I am not say that Made In Japan or Thailand have not problem, so of them did due to automation by machinery and mis-checked by QC.

Correct. Especially the Edifice range model. Casio China has issue a statement how to identify fake Edifice watches by observing the blue hologram sticker at the back of the watch. By using a hologram card reader, if a CASIO word is exist, then is genuine, if not it's fake. The same procedure apply on Canon genuine ink cartridges not long time ago.

Of course, the module number of the watch need to check periodically at Casio online manual, if the number exist, the model exist, lastly you may observed the finishing and button position and function of the watch. If one of the function is not working according to module, then is fake.
