QUOTE(lokgotz @ May 8 2013, 09:42 PM) I hope the others telling you to remove the bezel and applying a screen protector was a joke. Alright thanks While removing it is quite easy, applying a screen protector might make the watch thicker (regardless of how thin the screen protector is) and you might not be able to put the bezel back. If you look closely, there aren't any gaps between the bezel. Based on my experience, the GA and GD series' watch straps are easy to take out but they are DAMN HARD to put it back in, even with proper tools. Then again, it might be because of my skills, or lack thereof. Anyway, to answer your question, the bezel is sufficient enough to protect the glass. If you look closely again, the glass is much deeper in the bezel. Even if you put the watch face down on a flat surface, it won't touch the glass. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to protect the bezel. Just use it carefully lor. I hope that helps. |

QUOTE(lokgotz @ May 17 2013, 05:30 PM) Oh. The crown you mean? awesome ! thanks !I assume the GAC-100 series' crown works just like any other analogue watches. 1. You will be able to pull the crown out 2 levels. There should be a distinct "click" when you reach each level. 2. Pulling it to the max (2 levels) will let you adjust the time. 3. Pulling it one level will let you adjust the date. I personally have a set of rules for setting the time on an analogue watch. I have plenty of mechanical watches as well, which is why I always follow this set of rules for analogue watches. - Never set the date when the clock is at 9pm to 3am. That's when the date dial changes. Setting the date when it's at 9pm to 3am will force the dial to move unnaturally, causing the gears to wear/break if done too many times. - Always turn the crown so that the minute hand goes clockwise. Watches/clocks are meant to go only one way. Turning the crown to make the dial go anti-clockwise might break the gears in it. If I accidentally set the time 1 minute faster, I'll go two full rotations (two 12 hour rotations) to get the time right. - Always screw the crown in. It prevents moisture getting into the watches. I have more rules for GMT, moon phase, annual calendar, regulators and other type of watches. Yeah I'm quite OCD like that when it comes to watches. |
