Thanks for the helpful picture!

so i just need for example "Router mr3420" like shown in the middle of the picture?

use lan cable to connect the router to my rig then my computer can enjoy the broadband, meanwhile other laptop will receive wifi from the router, is that right?

thanks! notworthy.gif

thank you so much for the recommendations!
so i still could set up all this despite my cheap rig? just afraid because it is too cheap to to all of those..
hopefully no problem cuz will make my purchase next saturday smile.gif

btw if the rig no GPU, can i watch normal rmvb, avi and stuffs? and I dont gaming on this rig..

another question:

• Gigabyte N400A PSU-RM100 (PCZone)
• CM Elite 343 Casing-RM99
or
• Casing+psu combo RM59

also can i preffered casing + psu combo RM59 for this rig? or i must take the combo 199 (expensive one)

Intel Pentium G850 RM199
MSI H61M-P31-RM149
WD Caviar Blue 500GB RM169
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM60
Casing+psu combo RM59
Router mr3420

movie playback are taxing the CPU horsepower not GPU. Pentium G850 can play your movies well.

*ps* with proper codec, even older Intel Atom can play 720p movies.

i just use it on my humble monitor, nothing fancy and definitely not a big screen.. or is it matter? it is the movie file size that determine "hd"? my movie files are around 1 or 2 gb, maybe i can use software to trimmed its "HD ness" so that the movie wont lag while play on this rig?

thanks!

Hi all sifus and experts, I'm planning a build with a budget of 3.3k and this is what I came up with

PROCESSOR: INTEL I5 3570 (3.2GHz) = RM 619
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS P8Z77-M = RM 339
GRAPHICS CARD: LEADTEK GTX 670 2GB = RM 1149
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE PC1600 C9 CMZ = RM 189
HARD DISK: SEAGATE 1TB 7200RPM = RM 219
PSU: CORSAIR TX SERIES 650W = RM 379
CASING: COOLER MASTER K380 = RM 129
DVD ROM: LITEON DVD WRITER = RM 60

TOTAL ESTIMATED COST = RM 3083 (if didn't count wrong haha)

Any modifications I should do? Thanks

You don't need those RAM modules, so stick to the usual Value RAMs. That will save you about RM80 or so. With the remaining RM300 you should be able to add in a solid state drive like the Intel 330 Series 120GB SSD, which is a SSD with an excellent value and a performance good enough to satisfy most.

They are usually bought by those who want to overclock, or by those who think that they present a large performance advantage over Value RAMs out of the box. Some may know that they pretty much give little noticeable performance improvement over Value RAMs and also do not want to overclock, but want the improvement in aesthetics that those RAMs can give due to the usage of fancy heat-spreaders. smile.gif

From what I've known.... Only if you are building an AMD APU rig (Trinity/Llano based) then a high performance RAMs are required... The iGPU can benefit from faster RAMs...
