How to differentiate Malay 1st name and last name?

As per topic, is tat any way to differentiate muslin name which is 1st and which is last? i'm Chinese, but helping some of my Malay colleague to register thing, some of their name is very long i not sure which is 1st which is last, any guidance is appreciate thx

i don't think malay have the 1st name last name concept.. it should be "my name" and "my bapak name" .. which "my name" can consist of 1, 2, 3 or more

before bin/binti is the person's name after bin/binti is the father's name/surname

I usually fill in like this e.g:
Last Name: BINTI OTHMAN First Name: SALEHA
Previously I just put "OTHMAN" at the last name column but one immigration officer corrected it because it didn't match my passport.

Given name aka your name aka first name family name aka surname aka father name
then middle name? some online form do have middle name .. hmm
