I suspect the "Twister Bearing" of the enermax t.b. silence series is Sleeve Bearing type.  hmm.gif

correct me if I am wrong.

nope, it's a type of Ball-bearing type exclusive to Enermax smile.gif

u can get a 2k rpm fan when u wanted great airflow and dont mind the noise. cool.gif and i guess u r thinking about CM Sickleflow right? they are actually really noisy and doesnt really push that much amount of advertised air

Anybody here uses a Fan controller? Currently looking at the NZXT Sentry Mix 2, but wondering if you guys are using anything else that's nice.

airflow = SickleflowX > TB Silence > Spectre

Silence go for Spectre.

the best intake fan would be the Silverstone Air penetrator series... but they will not be quiet from what I gathered from user reviews, what fan are you using now that's noisy?

I can bet that Noctua, BitFenix, Bequiet, Artic and corsair makes good silent fans, should be okay with any of them

Tried NOiseBlocker, much louder than Noctua, not recommended. If you have fan controller, can use NoiseBlocker to lower rpm around 1000+/-. But the performance delivered in terms of airflow and static pressure is still lower than Noctua. Also to take into account, most fans out there takes more watt/power compared to Noctua (e.g. NF-A14 FLX uses 0.06amps at 12v = 0.72watt. Bitfenix takes almost triple of this, NoiseBlocker at full rpm is 4.5watt (similarly to a HDD power consumption.)

The only limitation I can see with Noctua is oil leakage, since they use oil to reduce friction between the fan blade pillar and the housing of the bearing, there is a risk of leaking oil. I had 1 NF-P14 in my Noctua NH-D14 leak oil, but the 12cm NF-P12 did not have this issue. I had Enermax fans which I used for like 4 years, and does not have this issue. If only Enermax had reduce their power usage similarly to Noctua, I would buy them instead since its much more friendly to clean with their patented pop-out fan blade.

Which model of NoiseBlocker fan you were testing?
I currently have 2 M12P multiframe running, you could say they are louder at full blast because the model im using are 2000RPM fans sweat.gif
As for leaking oil, my Noctua NF-F12 PWM also leaking oil after several months of usage.
Another downside of Noctua fan is, it require high startup voltage especially the 140mm 3 pins model, i had 2 of them, their fans wont even budge until i my CPU started to warm up sweat.gif

Hi Guys smile.gif ,

Anyone have any idea to reduce the fan noise in the casing?

FYI, i have 5 casing fans (all from Cooler Master) and my Processor is still using stock cooling fan (AMD FX8350).

I have intention to upgrade to liquid cooling for processor but thing is i just bought the processor last year and scared that will void the warranty if change to aftermarket cpu fan.

Any recommendation on this, folks? Suggestions will be highly appreciated~! Thanks
